Transfer from Kigali City to Volcanoes National Park

A Bamboo Ecotours driver/guide will pick you up in Kigali and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. If time allows and you are interested, visit the Kigali Genocide Museum before driving to Musanze/Ruhengeri. After the museum visit, we will then drive to Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. The drive to Volcanoes National Park will go through northern Rwanda’s landscape via Musanze, formally Ruhengeri. Check-in at the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

You will head to the Volcanoes National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the presentation covering what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national park guide will assign you a gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from a few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trek, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay.

Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali City

We will start the day with a golden monkey trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. This primate is native to the high-altitude forests of the park. Once we have seen their playful interactions, we will head out of the park and transfer to Kigali city or Kigali International Airport.
