Arrive Kigali

Arrival at Kigali International Airport.
VIP Meet & Greet at the Airport, fast track and assistance with VISA and luggage.
Meet your guide at the airport, transfer to your hotel and briefing about your trip.
Check in at your lodge.
In the afternoon, visit the Kigali genocide memorial or a smaller memorial just outside
Kigali to learn about the history and hear about how Rwandan people are dealing with
this history in current lives.

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

In the morning, have breakfast and check out.

Transfer to Musanze / Volcanoes NP, en-route you will immediately feel that you are in
the country of 1000 Hills. Along the way you will see different coffee plantations, banana plantations and busy daily lifestyle of Rwandan local people. (2,5-3 hours’ drive).

Visit the Ellen DeGeneres / Diane Fossey campus in Musanze for a round tour and learn
from the behavior of gorilla’s and the work of Diane Fossey.

Check in and enjoy lunch at your lodge.

Afternoon leisure at your lodge as you prepare for your Volcanoes’ experiences.

Morning enjoy a relaxed breakfast.

Mid-morning, experience the beauty of the local life and landscape behind the Volcanoes.
Have a transfer through colorful local villages to the shores of Lake Ruhondo; one of the
twin lakes. Meet the local boatsman and enjoy a private scenic boat trip with breathtaking
views of the Volcanoes mountains. Along the way you will see various small islands
surrounding the lake.
If you like you can visit the local people living on these islands and experience Rwanda’s culture and the daily lifestyle of the community. You might be lucky to see the busy fisherman catching Tilapia or the small local sambaza. Enjoy a private live
prepared lunch on one of serene islands with stunning views of the Volcanoes.
Transfer back to your lodge and enjoy an afternoon leisure as you prepare for your gorilla
trekking.

Gorilla Trek

Early morning Breakfast

Transfer to headquarters for a briefing to prepare for your gorilla trekking.
Hike with a local ranger to find the gorilla family. You are allowed to spend 1 hour with the gorilla family. Enjoy this memorable experience!
Included is a free porter per person who will assist you with your daypack, and give you hand when the path is slippery, steep, or irregular. The porters are from the local community and registered by the Rwanda Wildlife Authority, in this way we also support the local community.
