Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up and depart towards Masai Mara with a stopover at the scenic view of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. From this viewpoint, you will have a panoramic view of the surroundings and a chance to appreciate the view of the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive for check-in at the camp in time for lunch.
After lunch and refreshments, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephants, rhino, and buffalo) and other wildlife available at the reserve.

Finally, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation. The accommodation is a fully furnished lodge with hot showers and buffet self-service meal plans.
Meals are served according to your preferences.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve Game Viewing

Masai Mara National Reserve Game Viewing

After breakfast, you will depart with packed lunch boxes for a full-day game drive in search of more wildlife. It is always advisable to start early in the morning because animals are active at that time especially the Cats. Our driver/guide knows the park very well. If lucky, you will end up seeing all the Big Five and other residents of the park like wildebeests, topi, giraffes, cheetahs, and many more. Also, you will enjoy the scenery which is the true African savannah grassland dotted with trees and bushes giving Mara its name, spotted Land. Dinner will be served by the river or below a tree overlooking the wild animals.
You will drive to the Mara River to see crocodiles and hippos between June and November. This is where you will see the great migration taking place, one of the 8th Wonders of the World where a lot of people come from all over the world to experience. You can have an optional visit to Masai village.
You will have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park and arrive in good time for lunch. After lunch, you will have a game drive in search of both white and black rhinos, Rothchild giraffes, lions, leopards, and other animal species. The park has over 450 species of birds, acacia forests covering grassy parts of the park, and the alkaline shallow lake which is home to thousands of lesser flamingos, pelicans, and hippos.
Later, you will drive back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart on a game drive toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park is known for its various birds, including the thousands of flamingos. You will enjoy the view of hippos, buffaloes, and crocodiles at Baboon Cliff. Later, you will have lunch en route to Amboseli National Park. You will check in at your lodge, If time allows, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive which will prepare you for tomorrow's full-day game drive. You will have dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.

Amboseli National Park Game Viewing

You will enjoy a pre-breakfast before departing on an early morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. You will experience a game drive where you will get close to the animals. Keep an eye out for the huge elephants, particularly the matriarchs (old female elephant leaders), and the variety of birds in the park. You will proceed with your afternoon game drives with a picnic lunch to explore more about Amboseli known for its large herd of elephants with a magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Your dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 6

You will have early morning breakfast, check out and take your trip to Emali for your 9.30am first class train to Mombasa. You will be arriving at Mombasa station by 2 pm where our transfer cab will be waiting to drop you at your hotel. This is the end of your tour with Mateo Adventures.
