Day 1

After we pick you up from the airport and drive you to the hotel, you have the opportunity to go on an optional tour of Arusha city. This quick city trip will introduce you to Tanzania and prepare you for your adventure the following day. In the evening, there will be a briefing on the remaining trip activities. Then, get ready for the upcoming excursion the next day.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your accommodation at 8:00am, where you will meet your guide. Then, we will drive to Tarangire National Park for the next two hours. Tarangire is famous for its abundant ancient baobab trees and is home to the largest concentration of elephants in the country! You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures and observe the interactions between different elephant families. During our game drive, we will keep an eye out for animal sightings. Tarangire is also home to many herbivores, such as giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras, while the more elusive predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards also inhabit the area.

Afterward, we will have lunch at a riverside picnic spot, where we can enjoy the beautiful river view and observe the local wildlife. Please be cautious of baby monkeys and baboons that may attempt to startle you.

Later on, we will travel to Karatu for dinner and spend the night there.

Day 3

Central Serengeti National Park

Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will drive to the Serengeti, which will take around six hours, with pauses as we pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will briefly stop at the gate to admire the spectacular crater for around twenty minutes.

Once we arrive at Seronera (the Serengeti center) in the late afternoon, we will embark on a wildlife drive and enjoy a picnic lunch. Later in the evening, we will have a late-night game drive to see the Serengeti sunset and get up close and personal with the local fauna. Hopefully, we will be able to witness a predator hunt! Finally, we will head to our overnight accommodation for dinner.

Day 4-5

These days, we travel deep into the Serengeti to follow the migration of the wildebeest. Our route heads northwest.

After breakfast, we prepare for an early game drive and pack a picnic lunch. The highlight of the wildlife drive will be the Mara River, there is a chance we will see herds of migratory animals crossing the river. We return to the camp for dinner and spend the entire evening on the game drive. At the camp, we can see animals.

Day 6

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast and an early lunch, we will head to Ngorongoro. While traveling across the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater, our knowledgeable and skilled driver will provide you with an overview of the local fauna and Tanzania's breathtaking scenery. Our plan is to camp out on the crater rim for the night. After dinner, you will spend the night at your accommodation.

Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha

Early risers are rewarded with stunning views of the sun rising over the edge of the crater! After a hearty breakfast, you will embark on a thrilling journey into the crater. It is one of the Seven Wonders of Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasting an incredible ecosystem formed millions of years ago by a massive volcanic explosion. The crater spans approximately 260km² (100mi²) and reaches a depth of 610m (2,000ft). Among all Tanzanian parks, the crater offers the best opportunities for game-viewing due to its abundant animal population, estimated at 25,000. Within minutes, you can encounter elephants, zebras, gazelles, wildebeest, and over 500 bird species. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the critically endangered black rhino hiding in the grass. After your wildlife drives in the Ngorongoro Crater, you will return to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today is the last day of your eight-day tour. You have the option to extend your trip with a beach vacation in Zanzibar, or we can arrange transportation for you to Kilimanjaro International Airport after breakfast.
