Ngorongoro Crater
Known as the 8th Wonder of the World, Ngorongoro Crater is known for its exquisite beauty. The animals are known to be active in the early morning thus an early morning drive is highly recommended. Depending on what you decide with your safari guide; you could have breakfast at the camp and carry a packed lunch or you could carry both a packed breakfast and lunch. On this day, you will descend into the crater which is filled with vegetation, forestry, and animals. The crater was formed by volcanic activities in the past that caused the creation of a caldera. The caldera got deeper and bigger with a depth of about 610 meters.
You'll get to explore Africa’s ‘Garden of Eden’ in the comfort of your safari vehicle and get to spot the Big Five —elephant, buffalo, leopard, black mane lion, and the rare black rhino. You will also be able to see hyenas, jackals, flamingos, and the yawning hippos. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of this ancient volcanic crater close to the hippo pool.
