You'll depart for Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The morning drive is via an African savannah country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle.
You'll arrive in time for lunch. Later, you'll venture into the park for the scheduled afternoon wildlife-viewing drive.
You'll spot the many herds of elephants up close in the park —a little wonder why the park is the best place in Africa to spot such herds. The park is also home to many other species such as the Cape buffalos, impalas, lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, Maasai giraffes, zebras, and blue wildebeest among other animals. The birdlife is also abundant with both large and small species. Weather permitting, Amboseli National Park offers a beautiful scenic snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro which makes it a perfect site for photography. It is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
