Great Experience - great people
We spent two unforgettable weeks on safari with Amazing Memories Safaris, and everything exceeded our expectations. The entire trip was exceptionally well organized, and we experienced far more than we had hoped for. We saw all of the Big Five, countless other animals, and explored more than ten national parks across Kenya.
Our driver and guide, Philip, is without a doubt the best safari guide you can have. He shared an incredible amount of knowledge about Kenya's wildlife, always knew where to go, and had an amazing instinct for being in the right place at exactly the right time. Thanks to him, we enjoyed unforgettable sightings of lions, elephants, cheetahs and leopards.
Philip has an exceptional eye for detail, is friendly, communicative, and clearly has excellent connections within the parks. Beyond wildlife, he also shared fascinating insights into Kenya's people, culture, and daily life. He was also very flexible and happily accommodated our spontaneous requests, making additional stops whenever possible. With over 18 years of experience in Kenya's national parks, his passion and dedication were evident every single day.
The safari vehicle was in excellent condition and always well maintained. Philip even cleaned it regularly, although on a safari this certainly isn't something guests would expect. It perfectly reflected his commitment to making our journey as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
The planning and organization by Amazing Memories Safaris were outstanding from start to finish. Before the trip, we shared some ideas and preferences, which were carefully considered and enhanced with local recommendations. For example, they proactively changed one of our lodges because the originally planned accommodation had recently received poor reviews. This showed us that they genuinely care about their guests' experience—even after the booking has been paid for.
We booked our international flights independently, which was absolutely no problem for the company. They are very flexible and willing to adapt to individual travel plans. Communication with Titus was excellent throughout. He contacted us proactively before the trip, answered all our questions promptly, and ensured everything ran smoothly. All travel documents were sent electronically in advance and were also provided in printed form upon arrival, including our itinerary and plane tickets.
The lodges selected throughout the trip were excellent in both quality and location. It is obvious that Amazing Memories Safaris has local knowledge, strong relationships with their partners, and the expertise to recommend the best accommodations for every destination. We were also very impressed by the overall value for money. Thanks to Amazing Memories Safaris, we stayed in high-quality lodges at a price that would have been difficult to achieve on our own, making the entire trip even better value.

Thoughtful, knowledgeable, and friendly
Truly incredible experience with great guides, Musa and Moses! Very seamless experiencing both Kenya and Tanzania. Saw the Big Five and so much more. Guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. Accommodations are generally nice and buffet food options. The staff are very accommodating. Just be aware that there are many days with long drives on bumpy roads. Overall great experience and highly recommend! Price is very reasonable for the time spent compared with bigger companies.

My wife had dreamed of an African safari her whole life — and Amazing Memories Safaris delivered beyond anything we imagined.
Our guide John knows the Maasai Mara like the back of his hand. Every single mile of that drive was pure magic. The crown jewel? The wildebeest crossing. John timed it perfectly, and watching that thundering river of hooves is something we'll be talking about for the rest of our lives.
Then there was the moment we got stuck in the mud. Most people would call that a disaster. John turned it into the most thrilling bushwhacking adventure of our trip — the man can *drive*.
And I can't say enough about Brian, who handled the logistics like a maestro. Gorgeous accommodation, rock-solid security, not a single hiccup from start to finish.

The Safari of a Lifetime with Amazing Memories
Choosing a safari in Kenya is about much more than seeing wildlife. While the ultimate goal is to get close to nature and experience the incredible animals, how successful that experience is depends largely on the company you choose and, above all, on your guide. After spending 11 unforgettable days on safari with Amazing Memories, I can confidently say that we made the right choice. I would like to divide this review into three parts: the company, the guide, and the parks.
1. Choosing Amazing Memories
Our choice of Amazing Memories came after extensive research. We contacted four or five companies registered with KATO, carefully comparing itineraries, prices, and reviews. From our very first conversation, Nevill stood out for his professionalism, transparency, and willingness to tailor the trip to our wishes while staying within our budget.
He designed an excellent itinerary, and throughout the entire journey everything went exactly as planned. Every lodge we stayed at was excellent. We did not experience a single issue. Nevil also kept checking in with us during the trip to make sure everything was going well, which showed how much he genuinely cares about his guests.
2. Raphael – Our Guide, Driver, and Companion
Raphael was our guide, driver, and companion throughout the trip, and he was simply outstanding in all three roles.
His ability to find wildlife was remarkable. He always seemed to know where to be and when to be. Also, he had a lot of knowledge about wildlife and was very keen to share with us, which made each encounter more special. While we met other travelers who had quieter safari days, every one of our game drives was filled with memorable sightings and incredible experiences.
Driving in Kenya is a challenge itself. Many transfers from one park to another lasted more than seven hours on roads shared with trucks, potholes, cattle, baboons, and every imaginable obstacle. It requires complete concentration and exceptional driving skills. In that sense, Raphael was such a cautiously driver. But what impressed us even more was Raphael's dedication after each long day. While we were relaxing after seven-eight hours of driving on rough safari tracks, he was inspecting the vehicle, cleaning and preparing it for the following day. Along the way we passed groups stranded in remote areas waiting for mechanics, yet during our 3,000 km journey we never had a single mechanical issue. That was no coincidence—it was the result of Raphael's professionalism and care.
Beyond his skills, Raphael was a wonderful company. Spending 11 days together with me, my wife, and our two boys is probably not the easiest assignment, yet he made every day enjoyable with his kindness, good humour, patience, and positive attitude. By the end of the trip, he felt much more like a friend than just a guide.
3. The Parks
Our itinerary included Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Amboseli, and Tsavo East National Park. Each park has its own unique character, landscapes, wildlife, vegetation, and local culture. Looking back, our only regret is that we did not have even more time to explore them.
The Maasai Mara amazed us with its abundance of big cats and enormous herds of wildlife. In Amboseli, we had the unforgettable feeling of standing in the middle of a herd of elephants as they slowly moved toward the swamps beneath the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro.
Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha offered wonderful opportunities to get incredibly close to giraffes, rhinos, and spectacular birdlife. Finally, Tsavo East gave us a little bit of everything, but what captivated me most was its vastness and remoteness, making it feel truly wild and untouched.
After 11 incredible days, we are returning to Brazil with exactly what the company's name promises: Amazing Memories! We are taking home unforgettable wildlife encounters, thousands of photos, wonderful stories, and a deep appreciation for Kenya, its people, and its extraordinary natural beauty. We wholeheartedly recommend Amazing Memories to anyone looking for an authentic, well-organized, and truly unforgettable safari experience.

Worth the money
We had an amazing experience with Amazing Memories, and I highly recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.
A special thank you to Anastacia, who helped us plan our itinerary. She was incredibly responsive, always replied quickly to our questions, and gave us honest advice throughout the planning process. She made everything smooth and stress-free from the very beginning.
Our guide for the first part of the trip was Philip, and he was outstanding. He is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about wildlife. Every day was thoughtfully planned, and he always made sure we got the most out of each game drive. He knows the roads exceptionally well, and you can tell he truly loves the animals. Philip will explain what you’re seeing, share facts about the animals, and make sure you don’t miss any details. His passion and expertise made our safari even more enjoyable.
For the second part of our trip, we had Francis as our guide, and he was fantastic. He has great connections with other guides, always seemed to know where the animals were, and navigated the parks with confidence and skill. Thanks to his experience and network, we had many incredible wildlife sightings.
