I had high expectations as someone who had been on safari over 20 times. Savannah explorers far exceeded these expectations. Everything is organized to perfection and our guide, Thomas (Uncle T) was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. 11/10

Savannah Explorers delivered an absolutely unforgettable safari experience from start to finish. The itinerary was perfectly planned, with seamless communication, excellent accommodations, and a well-paced agenda that made the most of our time in Tanzania. Every detail was handled flawlessly, but what really set the trip apart was having Thomas as our guide. Hilarious, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable, he worked tirelessly to ensure we saw every possible animal and shared fascinating insights about Tanzania’s culture and history. By the end, it felt like we’d gained a new friend. If you’re considering a safari, Savannah Explorers is the way to go—they get everything right, from the big picture to the smallest details.

Amazing experience with the best guide

Had a fantastic time on safari with our guide Thomas. He is an absolute legend. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, knows the all the parks like the back of his hand and has some magic ability to find animals that are normally tricky to spot. Not my first safari experience but definitely a favorite one. We had a short trip but managed to see the big five and leopards super closely and even a cheetah hunt! All accommodation was superb, great views and nice food. Highly recommended

We had a fabulous safari experience. From the moment Gerry picked us up at the airport we felt welcomed and comfortable in Tanzania.

Gerry has incredible experience, knowledge and expertise of all things Tanzania, the animals in the four parks we visited and of local customs.

We saw every animal we had hoped for (knowing it was not guaranteed) in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and the crater.

We also had a great cultural experience in Mto Wa Mbu and got to hike about 10 miles of Kilimanjaro.
We had four kids with us and Gerry made them feel very welcome and comfortable.

The trip was absolutely a success!
