Friendly and accommodating.
My wife and I had a wonderful time on our three day, two night stay on Ssese Island. While we experienced a few small hiccups during our time, they were addressed by hotel staff with assistance from Christine, our Pamoja coordinator.
Apart from our time lounging at the resort’s beach, our favorite... Read more highlight was the canoe ride, in which two locals rowed us about, showing us Ssese’s natural beauty from atop Lake Victoria’s tranquil waters. We also quite enjoyed the nature walk that also gave us a glimpse into life in nearby Kalangala town.
Christine herself was a lovely and friendly guide to have with us during our stay. She was enthusiastic and fun throughout. There were times, however, that we could have been afforded slightly more space to enjoy our stay as a couple but Christine was a helpful companion. Her services really shined when we were booking our trip. She gracefully and painlessly accommodated a change in our reservation dates and place of pickup. We were very grateful to her for all her help with logistics.
Overall, our time in Ssese was fantastic and all too brief. It’s a short ferry ride from Entebbe, but a world away. Treat yourself to experiencing Ssese’s natural, restorative beauty. We absolutely plan to return and would book again.

Everything was perfection!
I don't think I can properly describe how amazing our trip to Uganda was. I am incredibly thankful to Pamoja (the wonderful Regina) for putting together such a fantastic itinerary for us. She and I emailed back and forth about 100 times (no joke) planning this trip. Regina kindly made so many recommendations,... Read more made several last minute adjustments and answered all of my questions. She truly put together the most perfect trip that I could have never done on my own. I am very grateful for her guidance in planning and her beautiful itinerary. But most of all, I can't be more grateful for our guide, Amos, who made our trip absolutely magical. Amos was so knowledgeable, so professional, he truly is an incredible human being. Literally every local and lodge that we encountered, everyone knew that we were with Amos and everyone spoke his name with reverence. He knew the name of every animal, bird, tree and bug, never once did he not have the answer to our questions (and there were A LOT of questions). His openness made me feel comfortable enough to just ask anything and everything I could think of without feeling awkward or self-conscious (having never been to Africa/Uganda, I had many questions about local life). His organization and time management was impeccable. We always knew the plan every day of where we were going, what we would be seeing, and he even arranged extra activities for us that we didn't originally plan on our itinerary (an extra boat ride and golden monkey trekking which were some of our most memorable moments). We always felt incredibly safe and that we knew we were in not just good hands, but the best hands. He was an excellent driver and maneuvered expertly through the streets, mountains and dense bush while off roading with the Carnivore project. He always had a cold water waiting for us in the morning and snacks ready for when we got hungry. His photography skills are insane and I will cherish his pictures that he shared with us forever. I will walk away from this trip with mind blowing memories of gorillas, chimpanzees, lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, shoebills, golden monkeys, countless other beautiful birds and beasts. But most of all, I will be walking away with the memories of the thoughtful, meaningful conversations over dinner with Amos. I was truly heartbroken to leave Uganda for it's beautiful landscape, food and hospitable people, but I was almost in tears not knowing the next time I will see Amos again. There are some people that just make an impact on your life and Amos will always be at the top of my list for those moments we shared. This trip has been the most incredible and life changing trip of my life and I can't thank Pamoja and Amos enough for that experience.

Perfect tour operator
Pamoja took care of everything. The 13 day trip included 5 national parks in Uganda. All meals and accommodations were taking care of. We had a private guide (Leticia) was amazing. We saw everything promised and much more. The food was excellent. The lodging was budget, but was much better than we... Read more expected. All lodges and luxury tents had large queen beds, hot and cold water and plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The lodges all had fantastic view's and perfectly located to all the parks we went to. We got to see all the big5 easily. The mountain gorilla's in Bwindi was 1 of the highlights. Along with the Rhino's, nile crocodile, hippos, elephants, zebras, lions, leopards, chimpanzees, giraffes, warthog and so many more. We saw hundreds of animals everyday. Pamojatoursandtravel did exactly what we had been promised and delivered! It was the perfect safari also very educational on the people and culture of Uganda thank you

A smaller, local company with a big heart that really knows how to deliver the trip of a lifetime!
Right from the beginning, communications from Pamoja Tours were prompt and detailed, making this complex planning so much easier. My contact at Pamoja, Regina, was a real gem. She truly listened to what sort of experience I was looking for and put together a fabulous tour for me.
I was in Uganda... Read more for the first week, on the Gorilla and Chimpanzee Habituation Tours - an absolutely incredible experience. My guide/driver was David Katantazi. He was not only very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Uganda but was very generous in answering my million questions about all things Ugandan.
The next two weeks were on safaris in Kenya and Tanzania. My guide, Allan Sande, was another absolutely amazing treasure. He was an incredible wildlife spotter - I got to see more species of animals then I even thought possible! He wasn't just a great spotter, he was so knowledgeable about them all. Besides his knowledge, his good nature and beautiful laugh made him the best companion I could have asked for.
Choosing Pamoja Tours, a smaller Ugandan company, was the best decision I could have made. I felt safe and well looked after the entire time. My trip organizer, Regina, was always quick in getting back to me regarding any and all matters.
I had dreamed of my African trip for years and the reality far exceeded my expectation. Thanks again to Pamoja and my lovely guides for making this an unforgettable memory. As I said many times during this trip, "my heart is full".
