Our guide, Banana, was... Read more absolutely exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable and with a very good English. His deep knowledge of the wildlife, his sharp eye for spotting animals (even from a distance!) made every game drive exciting and memorable. He was patient, professional, and truly passionate about nature and conservation.
Thanks to him, we had the rare opportunity to see all Big Five, including a black rhino, which was a dream come true. We also spotted a leopard lounging in a tree and watched a cheetah and her baby— moments we’ll never forget.
The game drives in Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater were incredibly well-paced and tailored to our interests. We were never rushed and had plenty of time to soak in the beauty of each location. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the wildlife sightings were beyond what we had hoped for.
The accommodations arranged by Safari Soles were excellent — clean, comfortable, and in beautiful locations. The food was delicious, and the staff everywhere were welcoming and kind.
This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, made possible by the expert planning of Safari Soles and the outstanding guidance of Banana. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality, personalized safari experience in Tanzania.

We have just returned from the most unforgettable 8-day safari in Tanzania, beautifully organized by Safari Soles Tours. From the moment we landed until the day we flew back, everything was seamless, exciting, and filled with moments we will cherish forever.

Our guide, Tumaini, was absolutely... Read more exceptional. Friendly, patient, and deeply committed to making sure we saw as much wildlife as possible, he went above and beyond every single day. He seemed to have an incredible network of friends among other guides, always exchanging information to locate animals for us. Thanks to his dedication, we experienced unforgettable moments—including waiting over 7 hours by the river to witness the wildebeest migration crossing, a once-in-a-lifetime sight.

He was also great fun to be around, making our drives enjoyable with his humor and stories. His passion for nature and wildlife was truly inspiring, and his determination to make our trip special was evident in every decision he made.

The team at Safari Soles took care of every detail. They arranged our airport transfers, booked all our campsites, and even secured us a hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti—an experience that was nothing short of magical.

Dickson was so great

Our group would like to leave a 5 Star review for our recent Safari trip with guide and driver Dickson. Dickson is an experienced guide and driver and it showed in his taking us to locations that had the most the animals. We were able to see 4 of the big 5. He was punctual picking... Read more us up and dropping us off at our hotels every day. We cannot praise him enough for his excellent safe driving. If he was fatigued we did not detect it at all, as he was alert even during the most dangerous rough terrains. He gave us useful information but didn’t talk too much. We would love to give him 10 stars if we could. We appreciate him so much for keeping us safe and always asking if he parked in the best position for top photos.

I took a day trip to Tarangire park from Arusha. My tour guide was Tumain Justin with Safari Soles. He was an amazing driver and guide. He was prompt in his pickup, very friendly, and enthusiastic. He was attentive, took the time to explain points of interest. He had an excellent find of knowledge of... Read more the birds, fauna, and animals in the park. He even had a bird species book which he referred to as we saw the unique birds of the park. I appreciated his enthusiasm and kindness. I have nothing but praise for Tumain.

My friend and I just returned from an unforgettable 7-day safari adventure through the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and the Serengeti — and it was absolutely incredible.

While planning this trip, I reached out to over 20 different tour operators to find the perfect fit. From the... Read more very beginning, Catherine at Safari Soles stood out. She was thoughtful, patient, and incredibly responsive — and that’s coming from a New Yorker who definitely operates on a New York minute. Honestly, I think she works around the clock. She answered every question I had (and I had a lot), which gave me full confidence in choosing Safari Soles for our safari.

Our guide, Jonas (Jonathan Msabaha), was phenomenal. He was like a walking encyclopedia of all things Tanzania and wildlife, and I’m pretty sure he has 20/10 vision — he could spot animals from a mile away, without binoculars, while driving. On top of that, he tailored the experience to what we were most excited about. After learning about my love for cheetahs, he suggested a visit to the Eastern Serengeti. He warned us that there were no guarantees due to their elusive nature, but we ended up seeing over ten!

The accommodations throughout the trip were lovely. I highly recommend the Signature Serengeti Luxury Tented Safari Camp and Karatu Simba Lodge — both were comfortable, welcoming, and surrounded by nature.

I can’t recommend Safari Soles enough. What I thought would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip turned into something I’m already planning on doing again (in the hopefully near-ish future). If you’re planning a safari, go with Safari Soles — and if you can, request Jonas as your guide (though fair warning: if I’m planning a return trip at the same time, you might have to fight me for him).
