Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru - 4 days
We had an absolutely amazing experience with Jocky Tours and Safaris! The whole trip was incredibly well organized, and we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five, along with so much other wildlife. The game drives were easily some of the highlights of our entire Kenya trip.
A special mention has to go to our guide and driver, Richie. He was genuinely the best part of the whole experience. He was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and always seemed to know exactly where to go to give us the best chance of seeing the animals. He made every game drive fun and memorable, and we really appreciated how much effort he put into making sure we had an amazing safari.
Seeing the Big Five was incredible, but having such a great guide made the experience even better. Huge thanks to Richie and the Jocky Tours team for an unforgettable few days. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Kenya! 🦁🐘🦏🐆🐃

Amazing experience
I had a great experience with Geeman. He is very kind, patient, and does his job exceptionally well. Geeman went above and beyond to make sure we got to see all of the Big Five. He answered all of our questions, from the names of trees and questions about the Maasai people to what different animals eat.
He has so much knowledge to share, and I would absolutely recommend going on a tour with him and Jocky Tours. We had an amazing experience!

Papa Johns - fun tour guide
For our tour guide Papa Johns
We had a really great experience with Papa Johns. He was kind, funny, knowledgeable, and made the game drives genuinely enjoyable. He shared lots of interesting facts along the way and was always attentive to what the group needed, whether that meant stopping for a washroom break, slowing down for photos, or spending more time looking for a particular animal.
What I appreciated most was how much effort he put into helping us see the animals we were hoping for. He really takes his job seriously and you can tell he wants his guests to have a good experience. We weren’t able to spot a leopard on our first day, and he seemed genuinely sad for us, but the next day we finally found one and he did his best to position the vehicle so everyone could get a good view.
Overall, he was very friendly, patient, hardworking, and fun to be around. I had a great time and would definitely recommend him!

Reliable, well organised and good value for money
We completed a 7‑day safari through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha & Amboseli with Jocky Tours. Overall, the organisation, reliability and value for money was good, and the itinerary delivered: we were lucky enough to see the big 5 and much more, with the varied landscapes.
If you're thinking of 7 day safari be prepared for long journeys by road between parks, simetimes 5 or 6 hours.
Communication:
Communication before the trip was clear: David and Mineh at Jocky head office were happy to respond to the many questions I had prior to the trip. Pick‑ups, schedules and logistics were handled professionally, and any questions we asked were answered quickly.
Service & Guide:
David Mukami was our driver and guide. He was organised, responsible, puctual and made us feel safe at all times. As a driver, he was excellent—skilled, calm and always positioning the vehicle for great sightings.
However, he offered little or no information unless prompted. We were missing basic details at the beginning of each day, such as journey times, lunch plans, timings of stops and even where we were going. General wildlife context was rarely volunteered and was minimal. David is a genuinely nice person, but sadly our overall safari experience was negatively impacted by lack of customer engagement skills.
I've worked in the tourism sector for many years and know just how very important the guides role is, even more so on such a trip.
While I cannot fault the driving and organisation we felt the “guide” service promised by Jocky severly fell short.
Value for Money:
The safari offered very good value overall. Accommodation matched expectations, meals were decent, and the parks delivered unforgettable wildlife moments.
Reliability:
The company was reliable with timings and logistics. Everything ran smoothly and safely.
Clarity on Extra Costs:
We were expected to tip security at the Mara River during the hippo viewing, and at Hell’s Gate we had to pay park entry, bike hire and a guide. All worthwhile, but Jocky should make these additional costs clearer in advance.
