Our company was founded in 2015 and we are a proud member of Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO). Based in Arusha, Tanzania, our experienced team has specialised in customising exciting itineraries with multiple destinations, exhilarating safari adventures and unique accommodations ranging from camping to luxury lodges. All to tailor a vacation that suits your lifestyle and budget. If you wish, we also arrange hotel bookings and domestic transfers by air, boat and land. My two friends and I had a great experience with crater safaris! Everything was so well organised, the campsite was super comfy, the food was amazing and everything ran so smoothly! We saw so many amazing animals, from insects to birds to all of the big 5, and loads of amazing plants and landscapes!... Read more So easy to watch the world go by from the jeep. We safari’d in ‘rainy season’ where we luckily had no rain in the day and the parks were super quiet and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.
Charles, our guide, was so knowledgable about the area and all the animals, an expert safari guide after 20 years of work in the Serengeti and beyond !

I’ve done many tours in different countries, ranging in length and style, and nothing has compared to this one. Everything was incredibly well-organized and effortless... Read more on my end. They provided literally everything we needed, which made the whole experience stress-free. Emanuel was super responsive and helpful, answering all my questions both before and after the tour. We did the 4-day, 3-night camping tour and saw amazing wildlife, with knowledgeable guides who helped us understand and appreciate what we were seeing. I couldn’t recommend this company more!

My family booked a 5 day Safari with Crater Explorers. I met Emanuel at his office and we worked out the details and price. Very happy to find a budget safari option where we could spend a few nights camping in tents in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater rim. One night there were giraffes right outside... Read more our tents. We shared the vehicle with 3 other safari goers and this only added to the experience. We had such a great group of folks from all over the world.
We saw the big 5 and so much more. The amount of wildlife in these Parks and Conservation areas is mind-boggling.
Our guide and driver, Charles, was laid back and calm and expertly got us into great positions to view the animals. It’s like he could see what was about to happen and manoeuvred our Landcruiser into the ideal viewing position.
The chef, another Emanuel, provided an abundance of tasty food three times a day. We were surprisingly hungry after full days of touring around and looked forward to each meal.
Emanuel met us at our hotel after the safari to have a chat and make sure we had a good time.
These guys are all pros. Highly recommend this small company.
