Experience and kindness.

I spent three days and two night safari with this tour operator, they took us from our hotel in Dar and brought us directly to the lodge in Nyerere national park! They have been so nice to get any of our requests. William, our guide was amazing, answering every questions we had and fulfilled our every request!

We have got an excellent driver, who pick up us at the hotel. In the Safari Lodge we had a very nice stay. The room was lovely and very clean. The staff gave us a very good service and the food was great.

The operator clearly cares about its customers and delivers memorable and effortles experiences.

Great experience! We were a group of three from Finland and visited Mikumi for a 1-night, 2-day safari at the beginning of December. Everything was well-organized and went smoothly, from communication and pickups to activities. The accommodation and food were of high quality. Price was very reasonble. We highly recommend Kihindo Tours & Safaris if you’re planning a safari!

Our safari guide - Michael was really good, he had amazing positive energy and was very knowledgeable about Mikumi and the animals there. He was very dedicated to making sure that we would get the most out of our experience in Mikumi, whether that was seeing as many of the animals there as possible or giving us tidbits of information about various things regarding the national park. We were very glad that he was our guide for this safari. On the 2nd day we went on a bushwalk with a local Maasai guide, where we learned more about the plants and birds of the area before visiting a Maasai tribe to learn more about their way of life. It was a very enjoyable experience.

The timing (beginning of December) was perfect, with slightly cloudy weather that wasn’t unbearably hot, and it wasn’t peak tourist season. Mikumi is a great choice if you’re planning a short safari, as the area is smaller compared to the Serengeti, making it possible to see a variety of animals in a short amount of time.

Kihindo Tours and safaris were reliable and safe organisation for solo lady traveler. I felt safe and well looked after during whole time. My guide and driver were very good and they knew a lot of animals and their behavior, local nature and plants too. They both speak very good English, had good sense of humor and they were extremely polite and we had great time together during whole safari. Also all timetables, transportation's etc. were always in time. Thank you so much for unforgettable experience in Mikumi National Park. Bibi

Everything was delightful. Gaston was a fantastic guide. Good driver, lot of knowledge, nice lodge, good food. We had a wonderful trip. Our flight was delayed. And they changed our pick up time and place admittedly. Very flexible. Just perfect thank you very much!
