Michele provided an exceptional safari experience, accommodating our needs and schedule perfectly.
I cannot recommend this operator highly enough. From the very beginning, Michele was extremely accommodating to our needs, ensuring that the program was tailored perfectly to our schedule and wishes. This personalized approach made our safari experience truly unforgettable.
The richness of background materials provided enhanced our understanding and enjoyment of the tour. We were well-informed about the places we would visit, transportation, and lodging.
Moreover, Michele was always within reach to clarify any questions or concerns we had. This level of accessibility and responsiveness made us feel supported and confident throughout the tour.

Met all expectations
We travelled to Umkumbe Bush Camp and it was wonderful. Accommodations were excellent and animal sightings were amazing. Food was okay not great, however the experience more than made up for it. I would highly recommend.

Shannon was attentive, friendly, on point, and keenly tuned in to our needs and wants.
A great adventure such as the one that my family had in the Kruger National Park starts with planning, and the planning started with an exceptional guide: our tour operator Shannon. She helped us find what we wanted before WE even knew what we wanted; additionally, she was kind and so helpful working within our budget. The difference with booking with Shannon and other bigger operators is that personal attention, which doesn't come with a big price tag as you might assume. We decided to stay in a smaller lodge (Nsala Wilderness Camp), a brilliant choice for us despite the lack of air conditioning (which we absolutely didn't need in March anyway). This lodge attracts a particular type of cosmopolitan, adventurous traveler because it is deep in the bush and not a hotel chain or luxury spa stay. We met like-minded fellow travelers and had amazing conversations around the long wooden dining table; got to know our absolutely amazing tracker and his wife, who cooked the most delicious meals for us (including a very, very special barbecue around the boma on our last day), watched as an elephant came to drink out of the pool late at night, and just generally enjoyed being out in the wilderness with such attentive, friendly staff and our fellow explorers. It was Shannon, not our research, who brought Nsala to our attention. I credit her with the success of our safari, the adventure of a lifetime.

The Best Decision We Made for Our Honeymoon – Indigo Safaris Was Incredible!
Working with Ines at Indigo Safaris was an absolute dream! From start to finish, the entire planning process was seamless, stress-free, and truly exciting. This was our first time using a travel agent or tour operator, and we were a bit skeptical at first—but Ines quickly put all our worries to rest. Her flexibility, attention to detail, and genuine care turned our South African honeymoon dreams into reality. Plus she was quick to respond!
She worked within our budget, tailored everything to our preferences, and made planning our Cape Town + Safari adventure so effortless and fun. Every moment of the trip exceeded our expectations—we seriously can’t stop raving about it!
We’ve already started recommending Indigo Safaris to friends and family who are considering a safari. If you’re on the fence—just do it. Booking with Ines was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our honeymoon. We’re beyond grateful!!!
Excellent Safari Planning by Shannon
Shannon at Indigo Safari tour was fantastic, mainly due to her excellent planning and communication even though modified a number of times.
At the beginning, Shannon took the time to understand what we were looking for in our trip and put together a first version of itinerary. I then came back to her by mentioning a specific aspects which I would like to be changed so it became very 'personalised'. She listend and gave me a few options where we could stay (lodges), each with their own specification. So it was relatively easy for us to choose which suited the most. She also suggested flights we need to book and arranged taxi between airport and the lodge.
When the time for the trip came, everything went incredibly smoothly, following the itinerary Shannon provided. The lodge was fantastic including all personals working there. There was no need to contact Shannon at all.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied as everything was well-organized, from the transfers to the accommodation and activities. The service provided by Shannon and Indigo Safari was a top notch and I would highly recommend working with Shannon for anyone planning a safari adventure in SA.
