We contacted Hooves of Africa to organize our dream trip through Rwanda and Uganda; what can I say... Dickson, the owner, was immediately available with fantastic ideas and suggestions to discover these two beautiful countries. This agency was also very helpful with the procedures to obtain entry visas for the different countries and organizing the various flights, as it was a long trip with many flights and wonderful experiences along the way."

Review for a 9-Day Safari in Uganda with "Hooves of Africa" (Instagram: @hoovesofafrica_photosafaris) in December 2024

I had the immense pleasure of experiencing a 9-day safari in Uganda with the tour operator "Hooves of Africa" in December 2024, and I can confidently say it was one of the best trips of my and my husbands life.

From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. The team at Hooves of Africa, led by the incredibly dedicated and warm-hearted owner Dickson, took exceptional care of us. Dickson made sure we felt comfortable and well-supported at all times. His passion for the nature and wildlife of Uganda was palpable and only enriched our experience.

Our safari guide, Veronica Naka (Instagram: @veronica_naka), was an extraordinary personality. Her extensive knowledge of Uganda's flora and fauna, her enthusiasm, and her friendliness made each day an unforgettable experience. With her guidance, we enjoyed breathtaking encounters with chimpanzees, gorillas, and the rare golden monkeys as well as the big five and an incredible amount of wonderful birds. The chimpanzee tracking was magical, and the gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was an absolute highlight—it was a dream to be so close to these majestic creatures.

Visits to the Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls were also unforgettable. The Murchison Falls are a true natural spectacle, and the wildlife viewing in the adjacent national park was simply spectacular. The Queen Elizabeth National Park also offered us impressive wildlife in an astonishing setting.

The entire trip was not just a safari in the traditional sense but a deep dive into the natural beauty and cultural diversity of Uganda. The accommodations were excellently chosen, and the meals were consistently delicious.

I can wholeheartedly recommend "Hooves of Africa" and the team, especially Dickson and Veronica. They made our safari experience truly special, and I am already looking forward to returning one day to explore the wonderful nature of Uganda again. If you are planning an unforgettable safari in Uganda, then you are in the right hands with "Hooves of Africa"!

We were booked on a double gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda and Uganda. Dickson, the tour operator was helpful every step of the way, including prior to us finalizing our booking. Norman, our private tour guide did an amazing job. We loved our tour and will certainly book again with Hooves of Africa. I highly recommend them. Both Dickson and Norman take customer service very seriously and pride themselves on giving their clients the best experience ever. They definitely made the trip a huge success. They are very reliable and well informed.

Extremely happy to have hired this safari company, they worked very professionally. They provided constant communication from the beginning of our search, open to answer questions, doubts and above all to give us the best recommendations. The service contracted with respect to the price exceeded our expectations, they organized absolutely everything. The lodges where we stayed were amazing where the friendliness, caring, and service provided by the staff was impressively amazing.

However the "icing on our cake" (best of all) was our guide, a very professional, friendly, intelligent man and above all a great connoisseur of his country and nature. He took care of us and provided an excellent service throughout our trip. We were able to spot many animals thanks to him and even lions hunting, he drove on very difficult roads and was always open to answer all our questions. At the end of the trip we unexpectedly received a souvenir from the company, they were very friendly. Without a doubt we recommend this company, there are not enough words to express everything we truly experienced, we are very grateful for everything they did to make us live an unforgettable experience. Extremely professional company to deal with who put on a perfect Safari for us. Their choice of accommodations, range of activities, quality of vehicle (able to access areas others can't) and above all, choice of a guide who always went above and beyond to ensure we had the best trip possible, with a level of knowledge, passion and experience that meant we always seemed to be the 1st vehicle to spot and get close to more challenging to find animals, including multiple leopards, tree lions, and being up close to a Lioness making a kill and Lion escaping a buffalo attack.. Really couldn't ask for more.
