Very responsible and well organized
We spent a few days with a large group with Chalet and Emanuel in Queen Elizabeth Park. We had a lot of fun, experienced a lot and learned a lot. The two guides were well informed and organized, from the accommodation to the food, from the excursions to the time frame: everything fit.
The accommodation in the park was adventurous because we met antelopes at night on the way to bed.
In the park there were many beautiful moments with the animals, we met tons of elephants and water buffaloes. The highlight were 4 lion cubs who lay down directly in front of our car and took a nap there. We were able to observe them very closely.
Most friendly, reliable and responsible tour operator which is locally based
I had been with a team member of Mugenyi Eco-Tours before twice and thus chose the company for my tour to Queen Elizabeth parc this time again, because I highly appreciate the manner they treat customers and this time in addition (new company) the idea of a sustainable tourism. So going on a safari is not only watching animals on game drives or guided tours, but the feeling to be a guest and come close to the local life and people. So they spent time with us during dinners, showed us places explaining the life of local people living in this area, discussing all aspects of life in Uganda, so I got the feeling of having really been in this country and not only a leisure parc. I especially liked the community walk through a village and its plantations seeing how various types of vegetables and fruit are grown next to each other and learning a lot about how bananas, coffee, cacoa and vanilla and many more are grown. I also like the idea of organizing the tours with respect to the environment, be it nature or man. So you can borrow reusable bottles and refill your drinking water from big cans instead of using a lot of small plastic bottles, which is unfortunately very common. You can select your lodges also following such aspects, so we stayed in a very nice lodge that followed the same principles. In general, our tour was built according to our wishes (e.g. including walks, not only drives), and the communication was very smooth. I would recommend this tour operator as for all this great experience you really do not pay a lot. Most of the money is for the parc fees anyway.
