Outstanding Safari Experience!

I recently had an unforgettable experience (26-31 Oct 24)with Wild Kruger Travel , made even more special by the outstanding travel expertise and personalized touch provided by Mr. Johan. From the initial planning stages,
Johan provided prompt responses to all our questions, ensuring we felt confident and well-prepared for our trip. His attention to detail truly stood out, and he went above and beyond to make our experience special.
Upon arrival, Johan arranged to meet us in person, warmly welcoming us and ensuring we had everything we needed. He even surprised us with a thoughtful gift, adding a personal touch that made us feel incredibly valued. Throughout the journey, the arrangements were seamless, allowing us to fully enjoy the beauty of Kruger without a single worry.

One of the highlights of our trip was the game drive led by Mr. Andre Joubert, an expert guide thoughtfully arranged by Johan. Andre’s knowledge of the area and wildlife was impressive, enriching our experience with insights and close-up views of the stunning wildlife. Johan Buys from Wild Kruger was very prompt in his replying to our many questions. Comparing to other safari's this was excellent value for money. Our tour guides gave us personal attention and was very knowledgeable. Our transportation from pickup from Skukuza airport up to the point where we were dropped off in Pretoria was punctual, reliable and comfortable. If we have the opportunity to do a safari again, we would defenitely use Wild Africa again.

Where do I even start? Johan was so quick to reposed to my emails and incredibly helpful along the way. He paid attention to detail as we were celebrating our anniversary on the trip and even surprised us personally with gifts. We did the Kruger and Sabi Sands tour and it was outstanding! Although for me, it wasn't enough time. For my husband it was, but I could do this for weeks and not get bored. It only left me wanting more. The guides at the lodges and Franz our Kruger guide were exceptional. Franz is probably one of the most well connected and knowledgable guide you could ask for. His passion for wildlife, conservation and sharing that love with guests made the trip what it truly was. The camp in Kruger was very different than the lodges in Sabi Sands, but I liked how we changed it all up. Saw the big 5 in a short amount of time and listened to hyenas in the middle of the night! If you are considering using this tour company, believe me they are worth it. If possible, I would also pay more and have a private tour while in Kruger, we just happened to get lucky. Thank you again Johan for making our South African dreams come true!

Team organising my trip was really good and efficient at communication, email, Whatsapp, phone call, all was okay with them!

They booked in Umkumbe River Resort in Sabi Sands and a government resort in Kruger. Umkumbe was fantastic.

Only slight area of improvement was the itinerary wasn't clear on what to expect when transported to Kruger. Safari schedule wasn't clear.

Johan was incredibly helpful in helping me plan my first safari excursion. With all of the safari options available in Africa it became very overwhelming. I reviewed a number of pre-planned itineraries and decided that building a custom tour was the best option for my party and Johan was very receptive. He provided a number of lodge options at different price points so I could look at everything and make the best decisions for our budget. We stayed at two different lodges and had different experiences at both which we really enjoyed. Umkumbe River Lodge - was quaint and we had the best safari guide who was very invested in making sure we could get as close to all the animals as possible. Kapama Southern Camp was out-of-this world with their level of service. They met all of our dietary needs and the food was incredible. We loved the boma experience in the evenings and the entertainment provided.

Overall our experience with Wild Kruger was top tier - payments were easy, transportation to airports and other lodges were seamless and all of our questions were answered so we felt well prepared. I have already forwarded on Wild Kruger's information to friends to help them plan future trips. I would absolutely recommend Johan and Wild Kruger and would use them again.
