Bobu Africa Made Me Fall in Love with Africa’s Birds
I just finished my 11-day birding tour in Uganda and Rwanda with Bobu Africa. It was amazing! I saw 215 bird species – my best birding trip ever!
The roads in Uganda are very bad. From Entebbe to Kibale Forest, the road had many holes and bumps. It took 8.5 hours – very tiring. But our driver Martin was fantastic! He drove carefully and kept us safe. He has 20+ years of experience, so he knows every road and every bird. Even on bumpy roads, he found birds for us. Other guides called him "Teacher" – he is famous here!
Bobu Africa planned everything well: good lodges with many birds, easy border crossing, breakfast boxes for early mornings. They chose the best places like Bwindi Forest and Bohoma wetlands.
If you love birds, book this tour! Just know: Ugandan roads are hard, but Martin and Bobu Africa make it worth it. Thank you for showing me Africa’s beautiful birds!

The trip to East Africa is still like a dream. The Africa in "The Lion King", "Out of Africa", "The Little Prince", "The Snows of Kilimanjaro", and my dear Yingying and her Bob Africa helped me realize many long-cherished dreams. Mount Kilimanjaro in the morning glow, the flamingo lake like an oil painting, the elephant family with many stories, the baobab planet of the Little Prince, the army of wildebeests and zebras on the vast grassland, the beautiful leopard that woke up from a nap and walked straight to our safari car, the "pure manual" water heater in the tent hotel, the African brothers who sang with us under the sunset in the Serengeti, the grassland planes with handsome pilots... There are so many more, every one of them is still vivid in my mind, and the memories seem to never fade, just like the grassland. Especially when "Circle of Life" was played on the grassland, my nose was sore and tears filled my eyes. Africa is really the hometown of mankind. I will definitely go there again!
