Unforgettable Family Safari Experience with Heart of Africa Safari Tours.

Our family Safari with Heart of Africa Safari Tours was truly the adventure of a lifetime! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized and full of authentic, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. We were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five—a dream come true for all of us, especially the kids!

One of the most meaningful parts of our journey was visiting the Heart of Africa Foundation Center. Meeting the girls and learning about the amazing work being done there was deeply inspiring. It added such a powerful and personal touch to our trip, and reminded us of the beauty of giving back.

We also had the chance to visit a Maasai Boma, and it was one of the most fascinating cultural experiences we’ve ever had. The warmth of the community, the traditions, the dancing, and the storytelling made us feel truly connected to the heart of Tanzania.

If you’re looking for a safari that combines incredible wildlife, rich culture, and a chance to make a positive impact, Heart of Africa Safari Tours is the way to go. We came as tourists, but left feeling like part of a bigger family.

Had a great safari! It was our third safari and we saw beautiful animals again. Ephata, our guide knew exactly where they were. In the evening delicious, well-prepared dinners and always a complete lunch for on the road, there was also drinking water in the jeep. The jeep drove safely and the overnight stays were well organized! Ephata is an experienced, responsible and reliable guide, who speaks good English. He had a lot of knowledge about all the wildlife, was very helpful when we had questions and always went well prepared with us on the road. It is truly an unforgettable experience that we still regularly think back to with great pleasure with our family. Highly recommended to discover the impressive nature, lovely people and special animals in Tanzania for a good price!

The Best Decision of My Life A Journey with Heart of Africa Safari Tours

If I could give more than five stars, I would in a heartbeat. Traveling with Heart of Africa Safari Tours through Tanzania was not just a vacation it was the most unforgettable experience of my life, and hands down the best decision I’ve ever made.

From the moment I arrived, I was met with warmth, professionalism, and a level of hospitality that made me feel instantly at home. The entire journey was flawlessly organized from the incredible lodges to the personalized care and attention to every detail. I never had to worry about a thing, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the magic of Tanzania.

And the safari itself? Absolutely breathtaking. Every single day brought something new and awe inspiring from witnessing the Great Migration to watching lions lounge in the golden grasslands, to the quiet moments of sunrise over the Serengeti that I’ll never forget. Our guide was a true expert incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about wildlife and conservation. I left not just with photos, but with a deeper appreciation for the land, the people, and the animals.

Heart of Africa Safari Tours doesn’t just offer a trip they craft an experience that touches your soul. Even more meaningful, 20% of the profits go directly to helping orphaned girls through the Heart of Africa Foundation. Great Tanzanian vacation experience
We were part of the “soft opening” of this lodge and so happy with the experience! The lodge is lovely and very comfortable, with tasteful local art decoration. We were introduced to Raina, a local artist, who paints amazingly emotional oil painting and we purchased one of her pieces.
The staff at the lodge is 5 star quality. Israel in particular is such a fun character and he’ll get anything from the kitchen or bar that you ask for. The Masala tea was the best of any lodge we went to and the morning crepes are not to be missed!
The Lodge made all the safari arrangements for us and we loved our 12 day travel to Ngorogoro Park, Tarangire Park, and Zanzibar. They booked the flights for us to and from Zanzibar and took care of airport transfers. They also picked us up from Kilimanjaro airport so we always felt safe and well taken care of.
The staff recommended we visit a local Masai village, a Masai market and the Cultural Heritage Center. We did all this since we spent several nights at the Lodge before we began the safari. I highly recommend seeing all three venues!
The safari was in a very comfortable Heart of Africa safari vehicle with an open air top. Our guide, Ephata, did an excellent job, bringing us to close proximity to the big 5 (lions, elephants, Buffalo, rhino, and even a leopard), along with various African birds and other animals.
We went during “wet season” but the rains were short and we got sun every day. I even got a mild sunburn! We saw plenty of wildebeest even though they weren’t “migrating”.
The last day we went to the Snake Park. I’m not a fan of snakes but this was a surprisingly excellent tour where I learned a lot about snakes, reptiles, as well as local culture. There are even camels here you can ride!
I hope to be fortunate enough to visit Heart of Africa Lodge again in the future. I love the fact that they also run an orphanage close by, with part of the profits from the Lodge going to support this wonderful non-profit organization.

We had a wonderful safari with Heart of Africa Safari Tours from June 21 through June 27, 2024. We toured Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. Everything about this trip was fantastic. Our guide, Ephata, was great at spotting the animals and pointing them out to us. Rarely did we spot an animal or group of animals before him, and we saw tons of animals, including all of the “Big 5”. In the western Serengeti, the wildebeest herds were everywhere, gathering to continue their great migration to the north. All of the lodges that Heart of Africa arranged for us were outstanding as well. Everything about this trip was great. We highly recommend Heart of Africa Safari Tours.
