Unique, extremely well organised, perfect family vacation in Southern Tanzania and Zanzibar
I’ve travelled to Africa a over 70 times, but this must have been the best organised trip of them all.
It was a two week trip with my wife and kids as well as our friends with their kids. We did 7 days on the main land and 4 days on Zanzibar.
Anne and her team were just amazing.
The difference is in the details.
• Our pickups were always waiting for us at least 15 minutes before the pickup time
• The drivers were well trained and spoke perfect English. One of them even spoke French and German too.
• Hotels were reminded an hour before our arrival that we were on the way
• Birthday surprises for the kids were organised without us even asking for it
• The locations we stayed at were sooo much better then anything I’ve experienced before
o They were exclusive
o Not typical touristic
o Breathtaking
• All-in all, it was a true Africa experience without the stress I’ve gotten used to as in Africa, you could expect delays, paperwork, misstakes,… but everything was just perfect on this trip.
It wasn’t the cheapest holiday I’ve had in Africa, but it was more than worth the money because:
Southern Tanzania isn’t very touristic and they want to keep it that way, so the park fees, hotels,… are a little more expensive then those in Kenia, South Africa,…
Therefore, when on Safari, you hardly ever see another car. I’ve been on other safari’s where it was hard to take a picture of a lion without another car on it. Not during this vacation!
You can really enjoy nature by emersing yourself in it.
At hotels,… (At least those booked by Africaventure) you don’t even notice the other tourists as is smaller, and set up in a way that you have your own space where you can enjoy everything around you. Of course, you can mingle and share experiences at the bar if you wish, but you’re never desturbed by noisy tourists.
When talking to some people we met whilst on Safari, they told us stories that I couldn’t ever imagine happening on Anne’s watch. One of them, when leaving on safari had to pay extra to sit at a window seat in their safari jeep, as the rate only included a middle seat.
I can’t tell you how amazed they were that our whole trip had been stressfree from arriving at Dar Es Salaam airport.
I could write pages on the simple things that Anne’s team at Africaventure took care of to make this a dream vacation.
For example, they always include a flying doctors contract in every vacation they organise. I didn’t even know this was included! Of course you hope to never need it, but it does feel reassuring that you can count on immediate help in case you get sick,…
Africaventure’s personal touch was clear in everything.
I want to thank Anne and her team at Africaventure for everything they’ve done!
A wild experience in heart of Tazania
The trip was arranged very well. We received information before the trip which helped us pack, and plan the luggage contents. Everyplace the driver showed up on time and were courteous. Over all we had a great time. Price for the trip was higher than our expectations.

I traveled with Cultours from Kampala to Arua (Koboko) And experienced a very professional service
To travel with Cultours in Uganda was a fantastic experience. The driver/s was/were very experienced and professional as well as warmhearted and interested in freindly conversation. The roads in Uganda can be of varied quality, but all situations with either muddy roads and roads with holes wer handeled with expertice. Our driver Stephen, with whom we drove mostly, was very observant on our needs and when in the national park, he was very good in picking great spots for photographs. Without Cultours the trip would not have been as succesfull. Thank You for a great and safe experience!

There is not one thing that I would change from the itinerery prepared for us by Safari Specialists
Our dealings with Safari Specialists was profesional in all aspects. Our taylor made holiday was exactly what we requested and did not disappoint rather delighted us in the quality of accommodation, service, meals and activities. If we were to plan this holiday again we would not change one thing. Well done and thank you Safari Specialists.

A truly great African Spectacular with supberb itinerary and wildlife sightings
Out of five tour operators we contacted, Marianne Birrell Safaris responses stood out from the others due to their detailed itineraries and suggestions. Marianne personally was involved in advising us and getting the best value for our budget. The holiday itself in Cape Town, Sabi Sands, Victoria Falls, Chobe and Okavango was overall above our expectations and all the logistics and transfers went smoothly. Our only issue was at the tented camp at Moremi Crossing which had low water problems and staff which didn't meet the high standard of the other lodges. Southern Africa can be daunting but Marianne passed on tips and additional tour suggestions right up to our departure date, and came back promptly to all our questions. We would definitely use Marianne again for other tours and have passed on a recommendation already to our family and friends.

Very good safari experience
The safari was arranged in a group of about 8 people. Everything important worked fine. The driver/host was adequately on top of things and knew the masai mara area and wildlife well. There were smaller issues like we had to do some negotiations to get our waters and some hassle around they drives (expected in africa, though). I would really recommend this operator taken, of course, that this is a budget safari.
Recommendations:
- Surprise, surprise 1 litre of water is not enough per day -> buy some of your own
- The food is provided but sometimes the gaps between are quite long -> if you get hungry easily take for example protein bars with you.
- If you do participate the visit to masai village, prepare for an interesting evening but also some quite manipulative selling situations.

Best deal ever!
I was a bit skeptical at first about traveling with an agency I had never used before but from the moment I landed in Kenya, I knew I had made the right choice. Everything went super smoothly and I felt a bit nostalgic leaving a week later. I was meant to write this just after my trip but work happened! Thank you, Travel for Change. I hope to use your services again soon.

Absolute Holiday Safaris do know their territory, and their birds and animals.
It was a pleasure to do the safari with Asolute Holiday Safaris.
The booking of the hotels took some back and forth-ing and while responses were very prompt it did require constant input from us. We were fortunate to know friends who had been on a safari before and could guide us.
The vehicle was slight disappointing. We expected much better for the price considering the fact that we had booked the high end luxury tour. The guide was loud but good natured, and once we understood each other the holiday was good.
The biggest negative however, was being told how much to tip (which was exorbitant, by every standard), and not on the basis of the overall experience. We gave what we felt was very fair, even generous, but the guide's annoyance at this was not at all pleasant. Sadly it was not a happy end to a good safari.

Fantastic Experience
My friend and I booked a last minute trip (and unfortunately short) to Masai Mara and had the pleasure of being paired with Haron. He was very responsive to our requests, diligent in checking on us and our needs, and made sure that we had an awesome experience the entire time. We only had 2 days to see the park but we saw so many animals and got great pictures. Haron was always listening to the other guides, the radios, and our requests and went out of his way to try to find the animals we wanted to see. On our last day, we really wanted to see elephants but they just didn't seem to be out and about anywhere. Haron asked and asked but none of the other guides had seen any either. Just as we were on our way to leave the park, I spotted some off in the distance and Haron made a beeline for them. I don't know who was more excited to find them- my friend and me or Haron! We had a magical experience of us sitting quietly in the bus while about 10 elephants walked around us and grazed. Amazing. I would highly recommend Haron and African Sunset Safaris.

Unforgettable and amazing safari experience with Safari Multiways. North Tanzania March 2016 -10 day
We are a couple from Spain and we enjoyed with Safari Multiways a 10-Day Camping Safari around the national parks in North Tanzania (Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Manyara, Lake Eyasi, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengueti and Lake Natron). Wonderfull places all of them! 100% pure wildlife and african tribes culture
Having compared several offers from different safari companies, we chose Safari Multiways because is a Tanzanian local company based in Arusha and offered us a very good service for a very good price. From the beginning was very easy the communication by e-mail with Romeo, the owner, who answered all our questions and helped us very professionally to create and profile our trip. It was a private safari so it was possible for us to change or adapt the trip according to our needs or likes.
We recommend a private safari also because is much more comfortable travelling with the car. The Land Cruiser 4x4 is very big and strong, so you are plenty of space! Moreover in a private safari is easier establishing a closer relationship with the Guide and Cook.
Our guide Amos was very professional and good at his job as an excellent driver and nature guide. He can see everything!!! He found easily the animals and a lot of fantastic moments we to admire. Moreover he knows and explained us a lot of things about wild animals, birdlife, nature and african tribes cultures.
And what to say about our cook, Moses! I am still missing his delicious meals! He has cooked all the days magnificent soups and meals for us and he has taken care of us very well. In addition whenever we had a few minutes between the hours of meals he offered always us coffee, tea, popcorns... Moses also has a lot of knowledge about wildlife and Natur and always helpt us to check the birds we have seen on his bird's guide book!
For all this reasons we highly recommend Safari Multiways. Very nice and professional people giving their best for us to enjoy the Tanzanian safari experience!
It has been an unforgettable trip and we want to come back to Tanzania!
Asante sana Safary Multiways!
