About: Kenya
Great wildlife and friendly people
Overall rating
5/5

After traveling to other African countries, I found Kenya to be more friendly, safer, more comfortable, and very affordable. The wildlife viewing was also the best I've encountered. All of my accommodations were booked through Reny Safaris and they are the only operator I'll recommend to friends.

About: Tanzania
Beautiful country, friendly people

5/5

We immediately fell in love with with the people and beautiful parks of Tanzania. We spent 9 days with our Guide Emanuel from Lion King Adventures visiting Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park, during the end of the dry season. Each park had a unique ecosystem and abundance of wildlife. The local people were so friendly and helpful, and enthusiastically shared stories of the local culture and wildlife. Our guide was a skilled animal tracker and extremely knowledgeable about the animals, plants, landscape, and culture. The weather on our trip ranged from about 65-78, with only light layers needed. We saw the big 5 in the first 3 days, and witnessed 3 wildebeest and zebra crossings on the Mara river in upper Serengeti. It was an unforgettable experience!
All the camps we stayed at exceeded our expectations. The food choices offered a lovely variety of fruits, vegetables, breads, and meat and meatless courses. The camp’s staff were 5-star and always made us feel welcome and safe. We are looking forward to our next trip to beautiful Tanzania.

We stayed in the Tangala safari camp as part of a trip organised by Wayfairer travel. The safari was the first part of our trip to South Africa (before we went to Cape Town and Hermanus). The safari was the highlight of the trip with great sightings of the Big 5 but overall the trip was fab. It felt like 3 very different trips in one holiday and each part of the holiday was wonderful

In August we had a 3 days and 2 nights hike in MT kenya National Park reaching the Lenana Point through the Sirimon route.

The tour was organized by Kenan travel and all the details were perfect. They provided us a perfect team with drivers, cook porters and guide.

The experience on MT kenya was unique although the weather was tough during the afternoons with strong Rain showers. Still, the combination of landacapes, ecosystems and Animals is one of our highlights in our kenyan trip.

A family trip to Serengeti for a week in August 2022 gave us an opportunity to not only see the absolutely amazing Serengeti but also enjoy the hospitality of the people of Tanzania. Smiles and Jambo (hello) greet you everywhere. People seem to be happy with simple things. Food is excellent. Prices are moderate. We had booked everything in advance. This seems to be a good idea for people travelling on a timeline.
Tanzania is a country that I look forward to visiting again.

My family and I went to Tanzania for a safari organized by Shemeji Safari. Perfect organization thanks to which we were able to visit the Parks of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We have seen so many animals in their natural environment, which is truly wonderful. The lodges where we stayed were also very beautiful. The trip was absolutely safe, we never had any kind of problem. We also did the extension to Zanzibar, indescribable for its beauty. Certainly one of the most beautiful trips of our life.

A unique safari experience and amazing scenery at Hell's Gate National Park
Overall rating
4/5

Hell’s Gate National Park is one of the smaller Kenyan national parks and is located about 2 hours away from Nairobi in terms of driving time. Unlike some of the other national parks in the country, this one relies more on its physical scenery, rather than the number and variety of large animals present. This is not to say that the animals are few in number, there are still many, but the difference makes a visit to Hell’s Gate very different from the others. First, you are not prohibited from leaving your safari vehicle. In fact, one option to explore the park is by bicycle. I personally recommend this method of touring, since it is much more fun and freeing than being in an enclosed jeep. Biking through the park involves a trip of about 10 miles (16 km) in total, and is doable for any person in decent physical shape. The only reason that all cannot visit the park by bike is that the bikes available for rent at the park are used and perhaps less than ideal in terms of quality (be sure to verify that your brakes work before agreeing to rent!), and that the road is unpaved, meaning it takes a bit more work to pedal than on something paved. In exchange though, you get unimpeded 360 degree views and the ability to actually take in the environment with all your senses. If an animal gets too close to the road, your guide may have you stop and back up to wait until it moves a safe distance away. These moments are exciting, but I do not think that they represent much danger as long as you follow instructions of the guides and respect the wild animals. Second, regardless of how you see the park, there are more options than just animal spotting available for activities. Your guide can take you hiking through the gorge that was the basis for the scenery for Disney’s “The Lion King” film, which is very nice, and you can go rock climbing on some of the park’s cliffs and towers. The easiest option for rock climbing is at “Fischer’s Tower” about a mile from the Naivasha park entrance, where you can rent gear from some men who will also serve as your spotters for about $10 (850 Kenyan schillings). The gear is clearly used, but looks to be taken care of well, and you get everything you need including climbing shoes and helmets. If one has never tried rock climbing before, this is a very much recommended opportunity.
Since Hell’s Gate is so close to Nairobi, you can make a day trip out of going to it. The drive to the park from the capital takes you over the escarpments that bound the Great Rift Valley, and it is worth stopping to take in the stunning view of the valley floor thousands of feet below. Near Hell’s Gate is Lake Naivasha, and you can arrange to go on a boat trip on the lake to see hippos and flocks of cormorants. Both the lake and Hell’s Gate can be seen in a single day if you are willing to get up a little early, and it makes for a unique side trip as part of a larger Kenyan adventure.

Pricesless experience!!!

We just finished the 4-day Kruger Park safari via Panorama Route. We had the best time of our lifes made possible by Wildlife Safaris. We enjoyed every minute of it.

We are so thankful and so lucky to have had Clive as our guide. He's the best! As we called him: captain Clive! He does his work with so much passion and excitement. Still after all these years of guiding. It makes him so special; not only as a guide, but certainly as a person!!!!!! He did everything he could to
give us this priceless experience. He went above and beyond.

Thank you Wildlife Safaris. Thank you captain Clive!

Incredible wildlife

I was thoroughly impressed with the wide array of wildlife seen on my 2-day safari to Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater. On day 1 I saw a lioness and 2 cubs eating a zebra, plus adult and baby elephants! Day 2 produced hippos, colorful birds, and so many total animals. I was very happy overall with the 2-day adventure safari as it was smooth, flexible, and I was able to accomplish my goal of seeing African animals in their native habitat.
