Nice park with loads of monkeys. It is a very unique setting in rain forest which Kenya has little of.

A quite good safari trip from Gecko Adventure
4/5

We made a two day safari tour in August 2013 in Mikumi National Park with Gecko Adventure (Mr.Rama). I did the reservation from homeland, and there was almost no problem with tour organization. This was the only organization that sent me the exact tour schedule (hour by hour), and we fully complied with this schedule. We stayed in Mikumi Wildlife Camp (inside the park) and it was perfect, clear and friendly. The safari guide (Mr. Sky) was also very good, he made his best to fulfill all our requests and hence we were able to see all types of animals in two day game drive (some guests in hotel haven't seen any lion in two days, but we were able to see 8 lions just in a half day drive). The only disappointment was that the safari vehicle was not the same as promised. It was a van instead of jeep but later in safari it had no disadvantage.

Off the beaten path destination with genuine Masai people and unique and beautiful landscape
Overall rating
4/5

Hells Gate National Park in Kenya's Great Rift Valley is a small off the beaten path park worth visiting if you have a couple of days. Although the wildlife is not as prolific as some of the other parks in Kenya it is a fascinating geological park with hot springs, ancient, volcanos, lava plugs, and gorges. There are plenty of nice walking trails around the park and picnic sites. We also visited a Masaai village and learned how the local Masai people live and how to make a fire.

Fanatsic part of South Africa for the natural and scenic beauty abounds. The biome and the unique flora of this region sets it apart from the other regions in South Africa. Dry arid region and the wildlife and the plants have had to cope with the limited rainfall, and have adapted to the unique conditions.

Fantastic lodge, stayed here on my way to Botswana.
The game drive was fantastic, the guides great, and the wildlife specimens looked in peak condition.

The biggest and most spectacular "tuskers" I have photographed in Southern Africa come from this park. It is a bit off the beaten track and on a gravel path to get there but once there you do definetly get the bush vibe.

This is the primier game park in KZN, and is world renowed for the white and black rhinos, and I have regularly spotted, lions, elephants, and other game in the park.
The bush vibe can be lost during the peak holiday seasons, dec- jan school holidays in South Africa, with lots of tourist busses and day- trippers zooming aournd the park. Off season it is a peacefull and wonderfull place to take a weekend break.

Small park compared to Kruger, but highly recomended as it is next to a primier destination like the Sun City Hotel Complex. Visited this park and spotted the big cats on a morning game drive, and the quality of light was very nice to photograph.
