Top notch luxury service
5/5

We spent about 8 days in Kenya. Charles was our contact and he organized everything from when we landed to when we departed. My wife and I wanted a private trip and one that encompassed Nairobi, safari and beach. We also took our trip in last week of March so we knew rain was a possibility and could make things difficult. I would say definitely we were looking for the luxury feel and Charles delivered! The accommodations and food everywhere we stayed were excellent and they even asked us before our trip what our food preferences were and they were able to accommodate it all. We ate very well and was never sick! Money well spent. Nairobi was great and we learned a lot about local food, culture and everyday life. The safaris were off the charts. Accommodation was a luxury tent on the river banks where we can view hippos and crocodiles from our porch. The drives were great and we saw every animal conceivable except the leopard … next time. We always felt safe and got great pics of all the animals. Charles knew where all the animals were and every drive was so informative and mind blowing. We went to Dania Beach to soak up the sun and was impressed with the beachfront resort. The water was clear and the rooms were very comfortable and yes there was AC. We can’t wait to return to Kenya and surely we will contact Charles as we know he will ensure we have a memorable time again.

Worth every penny. Great Safari.
5/5

Paul is very responsive to all our needs. Our flight was delayed and luggage was lost but Rambles Africa sorted it all out.

John Masek was our safari guide. A proper Masai who know the Mara and Amboseli like the back of his hand. Drove us right into the action. We saw all big 5 in one day, we followed the wildabeast and zebra migration. We saw amazing panromic views with so much wildlife ( take binoculars or good lens to see animals miles away).
We got up within meters of lions, cheetahs, massive elephants…

A peaceful, comfortable and relaxing travel experience
5/5

Our guide Joseph was very patient, emotionally stable, good driving experience and experienced with animals, provided us with a near perfect trip to Africa. We had a very relaxing safari experience in Africa, and despite a full schedule, Joseph always made sure we left on time, saw as many animals as possible, and had a relaxing day. Although I have only recently left Kenya, I am sure I am very much looking forward to my next trip back to Africa and will certainly look forward to traveling with Joseph again.

Meru Slopes is a reliable agency which offers amazing trips with reasonable prices.
5/5

We had an amazing 7-day tour with Meru Slopes. Everything is clear and well-organized from the beginning to the end. Audax is an excellent manager who always answers the email timely and clearly and gives useful advice. Our guide Sandy is knowledgeable, experienced and easy-going and he is always try to get close to animals on the premise of rules and find the excellent angles for us to appreciate them. Not only do we learn something about wildlifes and nature from him, but also had super duper happy memories with him. Will strongly recommend Meru Slopes to my friends.

Locally owned with great guides
5/5

This was our first time in Tanzania and Africa and everyone made us feel very welcome. We had everything planned out for us, from a four day safari visiting tanjire national park, ungorogoro crater, and then finally two days in the Serengeti. After the safari we did a day hike of Kilimanjaro

I would say the biggest thing for our trip was that our safari guide Michael was VERY knowledgable and friendly. Even though we had only four days (and only 2 in the Serengeti), we were able to see all the big five and SO many lions. Michael was able to explain every animal/plant that we came across and always managed to get us in to snap amazing photos of the wildlife. He knew the parks inside and out so we were always going from hot spot to hot spot

The hotels we stayed at were all amazing as well, I highly recommend kubu kubu for people planning their nights in Serengeti

Thank you to the team at meijo for showing us a magical time in Tanzania, we will be back!

We thought we would only do this once, but their services proved us wrong.
5/5

This is the second "once-in-a-lifetime" trip we've booked through Adelle at Discover Africa--and it won't be the last. Her knowledge of the available tours/lodges/details created very memorable trips. Having to translate our expectations and lack of knowledge of safaris and the various regions into a customized trip with unique and enjoyable experiences could not have been easy, but she's made it seem so.
Our first trip introduced us to Capetown, Sabi Sands, and Kruger. From the at-airport welcome for initial transportation, to various flights, and at-lodge customized details (e.g., special meal needs), the itinerary and connections were flawless. The length of stays was discussed and Adelle's recommendations for each proved exactly what we needed. Even shifting our trip one week on her recommendation enabled us to avoid very heavy seasonal travel from Europe that we were unaware of. In-country/in-continent knowledge coupled with a deep experience with planning travel proved invaluable.
Our second safari experience involved several lodges (with airport-to lodges-to airport transportation) in various locations (Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa). Each provided unique aspects of the safari experience, and (again) the recommended length of stays for each was spot on.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our travel as arranged by Adelle, and are developing plans for another trip. We've discussed alternative levels of accommodations, and her knowledgeable responses related to differences between all-inclusive luxury vs. non-inclusive high-quality convinced us to again trust her planning for wonderful experiences of a lifetime.
We would recommend Adelle's and Discover Africa's travel services without hesitation and regularly provide their contact information to friends, family, and others who are interested in discovering Africa in a most beautiful, intimate, personal, and respectful way.

"Real Africa Travel" is the name that corresponds to reality. I mean they really show you real Africa life. Places where real Africans live. Food that real Africans eat. Life that real Africans live.

Unforgettable days in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire & Kilimanjaro
5/5

We’ve just returned from our safari.
A big compliment to safari soles tours, everything went smoothly without exception. The safari was exactly as advertised.
We had the honour of experiencing the safari with Simon, an incredibly great guide. He was very friendly and courteous and always endeavoured to make the safari an unforgettable experience for us. Which he succeeded in doing. We‘ve been incredibly lucky to be able to observe many of the animals at close range in the wild. With his good instincts, his many years of experience and his admirable patience, Simon managed to capture spectacular moment's.
To our astonishment, we managed to observe countless lions in a wide variety of actions.
One highlight was witnessing the wildebeest crossing the Mara River. The tension to see whether the animals would all make it to the other bank without being swept away by the current or eaten by a crocodile was enormous. Simon always behaved professionally and respectfully towards the animals and gave them time and space. His knowledge of nature and the animals was fascinating and it was very exciting to listen to him.
Simone is not only a very great guide, he is also an incredibly talented photographer. He always shared the great pictures with us.
Thank you very much for that.
The overnight stays were very nice except for the Tulia Boutique Hotel.
The staff was very friendly and helpful everywhere. We particularly enjoyed our overnight stay at Ang'ata Ngorongoro Camp. The food was incredibly tasty and the hot water bottle in bed was a very nice and a thoughtful gesture.
The Kilimanjaro hike with Frank on the last day was also very nice. With a bit of luck, we even got to see Kilimanjaro for a short time with practically no clouds.
We would like to thank the whole team very much and would go on safari with you again at any time. We would be happy to recommend you and of course Simon to others.
