It is not the real wildlife - if you have visited Kruger NP, Addo E.P. has the second place.

its a great scene especially considering its the longest lake on desert.

Along lake Turkana, there is a unique place called Eliye springs. there is a spring with very clean water that drains its waters into lake Turkana- just 50 meters away. There are two lodges where we usually sleep over. Swimming in the waters on a hot day is a great experience.

This is a smaller reserve and while it does include a beautiful stretch of beach, it just wasn't as beautiful as Phinda. But there was plenty of wildlife to be seen.

Review about Toro-Semliki Wildlife Reserve by originalribenababy
Overall rating
3/5

Sadly I think Semliki is still recovering, or at least that was the case when we were there. True we didn't see another soul - even in the hotel we tried to visit! - but some of the game loops were closed. The buffalo and handful of Kob we saw looked truly surprised to see us!

The hot springs here are interesting and we had a good local guide take us there. There are also wonderful views from the roads across into the DRC.

Perhaps the new road they were building will change its fare?

Not well-maintained. Susceptible to flash floods--see recent deaths in late April 2012.

Fun to have next to the city skyline. Feels like a zoo without fences. The guides are just average.

Review about Masai Mara National Reserve by WW
Overall rating
3/5

Have been both during and after the "great herd migration". Wonderful for both wildlife (all the big 5 plus cheetahs, hippos, and more) and local Masaai village visits. The accommodations were lovely. Don't remember where we stayed the 1st time, but the 2nd was associated with the Fairmont hotels.

Review about Uganda by RedCany0n

Uganda lacks the infrastructure (and mentality) for ecotourism that would make this destination more desirable. The cost of accommodations around the country was extremely high and the quality of the food and lodging, for the most part was relatively low to mediocre.
