Great place to visit
Had a wonderful experience, people are very welcoming nice and friendly - except in the airport. Worth to visit nice part of Africa. Had a bitter experience on our return, in airport at the checkpoint ( baggage screening - not flight crews ) they asked for money in return to let me off from carrying wine(souvenir) in my check in luggage. I have been in many airports in my time and there are no restrictions in carrying wine in your checked in luggage(not hand bag) and this is the first time someone has ever asked me for money.

An excellent combination of birdlife and big wildlife especially the rhino's!
Lake Nakuru is an excellent combination of 'normal' wildlife, special birdlife and the rhino's. Scenery up was beautifull, you could see how pelicans are fishing together in a circle. Accomodation in both lodges was OK. Our guide was kind and knew a lot.
Excellent country to visit, people friendly, great wildlife parks, good accomadation and food
Excellent place to visit. Tourism is well operated with good transportation, accommodations and food. Lots of tour operators to choose from. The parks are excellent especially tarangire and the Serengeti. The people are friendly.

Day trip to Augrabies Falls National Park
During our stay at Upington we visited Augrabies Falls National Park for about half a day during a normal workday. The entrance is located about 1 mile away from the visitor center. We were asked to fill out some papers with personal information. But the official registration was done at the visitor center. There we received some maps and recommendations for interesting places in the park.
The walk to the famous falls was very well prepared. It seemed to be newly constructed. The path was build of wooden platforms that were directly mounted on the huge rocks that lead towards the canyon. The falls itself were incredible because of their height and huge amount of water. There were also some trails directly on the rocks that led back to visitor center. Overall, it was easy to orientate.
At noon we had a lunch at the terrace of the visitor center. There are a lot of tables under sunshades. The service was very kind and the food was good. It was not very busy at that time in the park. No local tourists.
After lunch we took a dirt road to a place called moon rock. The rock can be easily climbed because it is not steep. At the top you have a very good overlook over the whole park and you are able to see the canyon in the far, the orange river and the contrast between green vegetation near the river and the desert around. The roads can be used also by not 4WD vehicles but you need to drive carefully and slowly through some water passages.

Good - but book directly through world tours not an agent
All in all, a good budget safari.
We had a fantastic time, and our driver was excellent at spotting animals, and both the cook and driver were professional, friendly and always helpful. Food was for the most part excellent!
I'd recommend going with this company, but we booked through an agent in Dar Es Salaam, David Kiango, and I would avoid booking through him. He is a fraud and did his best to rip off both us and the tour operator. Him refusing to pay Richard meant the first day of our safari was cut short.
Only other complaint was that the safari vehicle ran into a couple of problems - 2 shredded tyres and ? A problem with the spark plug. The vehicles do cover a lot of distance, but with better maintenance it may have fared better!
Bear in mind when you are booking this that safaris in Africa are v expensive, and this is a budget tour. Tents etc were in reasonable condition, but if you want a more glamorous experience, be prepared to pay a lot more.

Tanzania is an extraordinary place for wild life
Tanzania is a land of wildlife discovery.
Our experience in the parks was very enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see many animals.
We weren't able to interact much with the locals, as we did most of the safari by car.
In June, the weather is very pleasant.

Wonderful wildlife, but poor conditions for its people
Victoria Falls was amazing - the sound and power of the water was incredible. Hwange National Park was a wonderful experience, numbers and variety of animals was fantastic. Elephants, giraffes, impalas, baboons, zebras, lions, spider monkeys, water buffalo, wildebeest, sables, ostriches, crocodiles, hippopotamus etc.
Cresta Spray View Hotel and Hwange Lodge were both amazing, really good hotels, with friendly, helpful staff and very clean and comfortable.
Mmilo Tours and African Safari staff went out of their way to make it a fantastic holiday.
Scenery was good, but the roads were awful, as was the litter and rubbish strewn everywhere.
People were very friendly, but obviously struggling to survive, signs of poverty everywhere.

5 day Safari
The safari went really well and we managed to see the Big 5. The cook Simon did a great job and our guide was of great assistance in locating the animals and answering our questions. All camp sites we went to were clean and wecoming.
