Excellent Guide to a beautiful country
I have wanted to visit Ethiopia for years....the birthplace of coffee, an ancient Christian tradition, tribal peoples, diverse landscapes, and a unique vibrant culture. Abraham was the perfect organizer and host for showing us the best of the country as we made our way around, from Addis Ababa to Lalibela to Gondar and the south. All fascinating. Abraham has great knowledge that he kindly shares and you are richly rewarded with his tours. As a travel agent who has been to many countries and has seen the variety of tour guides and itineraries, I can safely say that you are in very good hands with Abraham and Amplitude Tours.

Wonderful trip
Booked the 7 day Tremisani Lodge with Viva Safaris. I chose them due to price and cancellation policy. I was picked of from Jberg airport and it was a 5.5 hour drive to the property in a 14 person van with 14 people in it! If I had known then what I do now I would have caught a domestic flight to Hoedspruit from Jberg. I did that flying out due to a miscommunication and flew Airlink from Hoedspruit to Cape Town. It was only $126 to do this and was better than what I had originally planned which was to go back to Jberg and fly to Cape Town. But you do see some things along the way that you wouldn’t if you don’t take the van. The lodge is not really a lodge but chalets. It is nice but not luxury. The bed was comfortable and the property is beautiful and well maintained. There is a small pool. There are several monkeys that live on property and they will try to steal your belongings/food. This was a common occurrence that everyone except the staff seemed to enjoy. The food was okay but if you’re a picky eater it could be a problem as they serve what they serve and that’s it. Others that were there while I was split their time between Tremisana and Marc’s tree house. They all agreed the treehouse had better food. If I had to do it again I would split my time as well. There are multiple species that come right up to the fence. The lodge is inside the Balule Nature Reserve and you have a planned itinerary each day. Some days it seems daunting due to getting up early and staying out late. We did a bush walk, went to the Olifants River, had 2 bush bbq’s, and multiple game drives. If you have mobility issues you may struggle with getting in and out of the safari vehicles. There is a big set of steps at the property but I never saw anyone use them. The staff are amazing at what they do. Smiley was a group favorite. All of the guides were great. They do a great job spotting animals, explaining animal behavior, and tracking their whereabouts. I went in June so winter in South Africa. I needed gloves, a beanie and several layers in the mornings and at night. They do provide nice blankets. I wished I had brought a scarf. It was warm during the day. I was solo but the others took me right in and made my trip even more enjoyable. I would definitely go again!

Outstanding value for all a two week safari. Impressive!
Using Africa Uncovered Safaris for our 12 day holiday in Zimbabwe and Botswana was a priviledge. Thanks to the company’s Operation Manager , Archie, our trip was well organized. Never was there a glitch to our itinerary, accommodations, meals, game drives, cultural events.

The price point for this safari was excellent for all that we received and experienced. We came home with a greater appreciation and understanding of Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Trip of a lifetime
I booked a 10 day safari for my honeymoon with Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club. They were very easy and available always throughout the inital process, and were happy to accomodate any requirements or petitions I had. Made sure we had great rooms throughout too!
Our guide Justin was honestly the best guide we could have hoped for, he ended up feeling like family. Was an amazingly skilled driver, always felt safe with him, he always took us to the best spots, as well as teaching us so much about wildlife of which he was truly very knowledgable. I truly miss him after our trip.
I honestly cannot recommend enough hiring this operator, they really helped us have the best experience we could wish for. I had the time of a lifetime!

What a great experience we had with Bongan safaris.

Our guide Petro was amazing and our memories are full.
Accomodation is basic but no attention to detail is overlooked. We were well fed and have no bad feedback at all. Thanks Bongani and crew, we would definitely recommend this 5 day tour to others.

Dream safary for family of four
We loved every day of our customized 8-day safari with Axis. The trip was organized six months in advance with a partial deposit, and everything was planned and handled very smoothly from start to finish.
We were picked up from our hotel in Nairobi and then spent an amazing week in the Masai Mara, Nakuru, and the lake region with our guide, Kevin Apidi. Thanks to his excellent instincts, we were able to see many rare animals, including the Big Five.
Beyond the wildlife, we also truly enjoyed the stunning Kenyan landscapes, the food, and the cultural experience ( like masai dance) . It was a wonderful family trip, and we would happily recommend Axis and our guide Kevin to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.
