Amazing five day safari with Savanna Sojourns
5/5

We had a five day private family safari with savannah sojourns. The company responded promptly to our customized private safari request and communications with the company throughout planning and the safari was excellent. We visited Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. The safari vehicle was clean and in great condition. Our driver George was amazing. He did his best for us to see as much as possible. He was very experienced and spotted the best viewpoint on each occasion comparing to other safari drivers. He was very responsive to our requests. Thanks George. Despite it was a mid range tour regarding to accommodation, the places we stayed (SOPA Lodges and Resort) were top notch. It was an amazing experience with Savanna Sojourns and George.

Best two weeks of our lives thanks to Paul and his team!
5/5

We booked a 14-day Kenya/Tanzania trip with RoadsideTanzania (Amboseli, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, ending with a few days in Zanzibar), and it's genuinely one of the best trips we've ever taken and a lot of that comes down to Paul and Walter.

Paul owns the company and designed the whole thing around what we actually wanted rather than a standard package. He was quick to respond throughout the planning process, and when we asked to adjust a few things along the way, he just made it happen …no friction, no upsell, just "sure, here's how." He also arranged a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti that ended up being one of the best mornings of the trip.

Walter was our guide in the vehicle, and by day two it stopped feeling like a tour and started feeling like traveling with a friend who happened to know everything about the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Africa. He didn't wait for us to ask questions and half the time we didn't even know what to ask. He’d just start pointing things out and explaining what we were looking at. He found us the most amazing animals and not only knew the names of all of them (how, we will never know), he’d find them in a guide book so we could learn more. He knew exactly where to take us, and it showed: lions strolling right up to the car, leopards lounging in the tree, herds of wildlife...it was so amazing!!! He was patient, kind, sharp, funny, and made sure we never missed a thing. He took such great care of us crossing the boarder, ensuring we were settled with accommodations...he was incredible!

We closed out the trip flying to Zanzibar, where Paul had arranged a great Stone Town tour before we headed to the other side of the island to scuba dive the reef…positively outstanding, and the perfect way to end two weeks that had already given us so much.

Between Paul's planning and Walter's guiding, we never once felt like we were managing our own trip, rather someone had already thought everything. If you're considering Tanzania Roadside Expeditions, book it, you'll have no regrets.... and ASK FOR WALTER!! This was the trip of a lifetime traveling from Los Angeles to Africa and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything unfolded.

A reliable and caring operator that handles every detail with thoughtfulness and expertise
5/5

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our guide Felix and the entire team for their thoughtful arrangements. On the day of our departure, there happened to be a parade in the city. We were initially concerned about traffic and safety, but the team was even more considerate than we could have hoped for they arranged for us to set off early, successfully avoiding the congestion and potential risks. That really put our minds at ease.

Felix, our driver-guide, impressed us with his professionalism. He has an incredible eye for spotting wildlife and always managed to position the vehicle at the perfect angle, giving us the best views for photos. The itinerary was well-planned—plenty of activities to fully experience the safari, yet the pace was relaxed and never overwhelming. We enjoyed every moment without feeling rushed.

From the initial communication to the execution of the trip, the entire service was reliable and reassuring. It was truly a trip that exceeded our expectations and offered great value for money. We have already recommended your agency to our family and friends.

Many thanks again to Simon and Felix!

Namib- Nauluft NP is famous for Sossusvlei and Sesriem. This is the most beautiful place we have visited in Namibia.

Damaraland is famous for its scenic beauty, as far I know. So we have visited Spitzkoppe and Twyfelfontain.

There's only one protected area for wildlife and that is home to a golden-backed monkey. I wouldn't describe Zanzibar as a safari destination, but as a place to get away from the safari mentality and relax. There are beaches to the north and Stone Town to look around so it's certainly worth staying a few days.

This is supposedly the "endless plain" and it certainly stretches for miles. It's savannah which gets very dry in the summer and although overrun with tourists, the guides talk to each other so anything encountered by one safari, gets reported to the others. It is much easier to see the wildlife here than in most other parks.

This park is surrounded by miles of bush, giving the whole area a more authentic feel. It's a big park with fewer tourists than in somewhere like Serengeti but the price you pay for this is fewer views of the more interesting wildlife.

It's a greener environment than the savannah parks further north, but that provides more hiding places for the wildlife meaning that some animals that are commonplace further north, are present but difficult to spot here. Fewer fellow tourists.
