Trip of a lifetime!
It’s hard to even put into words how grateful we are and how truly amazing this trip was. My boyfriend and I did a 5 day safari, in Tsavo West and Amboseli, plus an add on of a morning game drive in Nairobi National Park. We stayed at Severin in Tsavo West and Sentrim in Amboseli. Our tour consultant was Morris and he was excellent. Great communication via WhatsApp and email and great planning throughout! We told him exactly what we wanted to do and he made it happen! Our driver guide for Nairobi National Park was John. He made sure we saw rhinos and boy did we see a lot of them! He also drove us around for a little city tour of Nairobi and it was lovely. For our 5 day safari, our driver guide was Eliud (Elliot). He was incredible!!!!!! He made sure we arrived safe to every location, kept us safe on safari, and was just really lovely to hang out with for 5 days. In Tsavo West, we had amazing scenery, cool giraffe and elephant encounters, and visited Mzima Springs to see hippos and crocodiles. At our lodge Severin, it was an open lodge with no fence, and there were zebras grazing 10 feet away from us during dinner! The lodge felt luxury with a nice pool, and was very calm and peaceful. Although Tsavo West lacks in wildlife encounters, it is way less busy than Amboseli and the lodge was an incredible experience. Next we went to Amboseli - where the magic happened! Our lodge was Sentrim, and while not as luxurious as Severin, it was a VIBE! Lots of people hanging out and drinking and loud music and a lot of fun. In Amboseli, we saw EVERYTHING. We saw cheetahs, lions (a male lion within 10 minutes of entering the park!), hippos, so many birds, different gazelles and impalas, huge herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and Cape buffalo. We got so lucky with really clear views of Kilimanjaro on both our drives. But what made our safari truly unforgettable was Eliud. He was so knowledgeable, told us so many cool facts about Kenya as we were driving, knew everything about all of the wildlife, and had an answer for every question we asked. I cried multiple times today leaving Kenya because of how special this whole experience was. We miss you Eliud! Kenya will forever have a place in our hearts ❤️

Amazing!!! Nick is very knowledgeable, always scouting for animals, excellent driver.
This was a trip of a lifetime. My husband and I celebrated our 45 th anniversary with Nick and our new friends. We asked to see lions, and Nick found them. Watched the elephants take morning walk in front of Mt Kilamojaro. So incredibly close to all the wild animals in their natural habitats. We would definitely do this trip again!!!

Phenomenal
This tour was incredible. I had been told by people who have been on safari that there is nothing like it, that it is life-changing. They were right. Witnessing the beauty and the raw power of nature is beyond compare.
Gofan Safaris provided this experience for us. Our tour guide/driver, Onesmus Mutunga is one of a kind. He was a wealth of information about every species and natural wonder. He patiently answered our questions, allowing us ample time to see everything, yet was still be mindful of the time to make sure we didn’t miss anything. It was easy to see that he loves what he does and enjoyed sharing everything he knew. He was also very careful—we always felt safe— and he saw to our every need while out on the reserve. The entire trip was comfortable and organized. The first day of safari we said hello to our guide. The day we left, we said good-bye to a friend. I highly recommend Gofan Safaris. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Great experience in Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park
Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours was our go-to company for our two-day stay in Victoria Falls. We relied on them for airport-hotel transfers, the trip to Chobe National Park (safari and river cruise), and the helicopter flight over Victoria Falls. Everything was organized perfectly and on time. The guides who accompanied us were knowledgeable and professional, allowing us to see the wonders of this region in the limited time we had. Thanks again to Oscar and Silence for their availability and courtesy. We hope to see you again soon.

Kenya, An Unforgettable Adventure
Between the vast savannas teeming with African wildlife and the vibrant energy of Nairobi, this journey through Kenya was a truly memorable experience. From the thrill of the safari to the urban discoveries of the capital, this trip beautifully blended breathtaking nature with rich cultural encounters.
I was deeply touched by the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality throughout the different parks. Having an experienced and dedicated guide and driver available at all times made every moment seamless and special.
A heartfelt thank you to Chris for making this adventure truly unforgettable.

Deflections and Deflated
To the Management of Spirit of Kenya
I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding the manner in which our cancellation and refund request has been handled.
This journey was not merely another vacation. For me, it was deeply personal. I was born in Kenya and had been looking forward to returning to my country of birth after an absence of nearly forty-five years. This safari represented far more than a travel itinerary—it was an emotional homecoming, an opportunity to reconnect with a place that shaped my earliest memories.
It is therefore particularly distressing that what should have been a meaningful and joyful experience has instead become a prolonged dispute characterized by delay, inconsistency, and a complete lack of transparency.
When circumstances beyond our control forced the cancellation of our group’s booking, valued at approximately $27,726, we expected a professional and good-faith discussion regarding the disposition of the funds. Instead, we encountered a series of shifting explanations, prolonged delays, and interpretations of contractual provisions that appeared to change depending upon the response being given.
At various stages:
• Responses were delayed through references to holiday closures and operational limitations.
• Responsibility was repeatedly shifted to third-party suppliers and hotels, despite our contractual relationship being with Spirit of Kenya.
• Contract language was reinterpreted in ways that were never apparent when the agreement was signed.
• Cancellation fee calculations were introduced that do not appear anywhere in the executed contract.
• Communications became increasingly sporadic, and substantive responses ceased when legitimate questions were raised.
As consumers, we do not object to reasonable contractual obligations. We do object to contractual provisions being redefined after the fact and to the apparent creation of financial penalties that were never disclosed or agreed to by either party.
The true measure of a travel company is not how it behaves when everything proceeds smoothly. It is how it treats its customers when unexpected events arise. Unfortunately, our experience has demonstrated a troubling lack of accountability, transparency, and customer stewardship.
As a result, we have been forced to pursue remedies through credit card disputes, regulatory complaints, and legal consultation—steps that no customer should have to take simply to obtain fair treatment.
What is most disappointing is that this dispute has overshadowed what should have been a celebration of Kenya itself. After nearly forty-five years away, I anticipated returning with excitement, gratitude, and pride. Instead, this experience has been dominated by frustration and distrust created not by the country, but by the conduct of the company entrusted with organizing the journey.
I urge Spirit of Kenya to reconsider its position and to resolve this matter in a manner consistent with both the letter and the spirit of fair dealing. Businesses that rely on trust, reputation, and international goodwill cannot afford to treat customers as adversaries when circumstances become difficult.
We remain hopeful that Spirit of Kenya will choose transparency, fairness, and integrity over continued resistance and delay.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rohit C. L. Sachdeva

Best experience we've ever had
We loved the Lion King safari; it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. We went for our honeymoon and enjoyed everything.
A huge thank you to Davidi, our Spanish-speaking guide, for making our trip so special every day. He was so helpful, we saw so many animals, including the Big Five, and we were thrilled. We highly recommend it!
Greetings, Javiera and Nicolas from Chile.

Professional and communicative
Extremely good value for money, with the operators, guides and contacts all being extremely knowledgeable and responsive. Everything ran smoothly, saw an abundance of wildlife, and reached everything on time
