An Unforgettable East African Journey with Camptrek!
We’re just back from a multi-destination trip through Amboseli, the Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro, topped off with a few days on the beach in Zanzibar. With so many moving parts, flights, and transfers across two countries, we were worried about logistics, but Camptrek made the whole thing feel totally effortless.
Rose planned everything for us, and her communication was spot-on from day one. She was always quick to reply, super organized, and made sure every single detail was sorted before we left. Once we landed, our guides—Eric, Ben, and Jackson took over and were brilliant throughout. They knew the parks inside out, spotted wildlife we’d have completely missed on our own, and kept long drive days relaxed and easy. Couldn't have asked for a better team to show us around Kenya and Tanzania.

Accommodating and great end to end service
When I first approached them via WhatsApp to book for a last minute tour they still responded albeit abit slow in replies but it’s still done.
The highlight was Martin the professional guide that took us in the open jeep in the park. He was knowledgeable, funny, friendly and energetic. He doesn’t rush us and gave us ample time to stop and admire the animals whenever we found them. It was a very nice experience to have a chance to encounter these wild animals that come and go on their own will doing their own thing instead of seeing them caged in a zoo.

PERFECT TRAVEL
Everything was perfectly arranged. We had delicious meals at each site and encountered abundant wildlife, an absolutely unforgettable experience. Our guide Johny Jackson was fantastic; he knew exactly where to find the animals, letting us observe so many incredible moments up close. This safari has given us precious memories we will treasure forever.

The overall schedule worked perfectly. We enjoyed lunch and dinner at every stop and saw plenty of wildlife, which left us with a deep impression. The best safari guide!
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with Jocky Tours and Safaris.
Booking: I booked with Jocky Tours only two weeks before my planned safari, and they were very responsive and accommodating. They answered all of my questions via WhatsApp within three to four days, and I was able to pay a deposit to secure my trip easily. Communication was a bit limited in the period immediately before the trip, which initially concerned me, but they ensured that all logistics and details were taken care of before departure.
Accommodations: I stayed at Jambo Mara, a mid-range accommodation option that was perfect for the trip. My guide helped me check in and out and coordinated my lunches with the lodge, which made everything very smooth. The lodge itself was clean, safe, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Beverages other than bottled water were not included, but this was communicated clearly beforehand. After long days on safari, the hot shower and large, comfortable bed were exactly what I needed. The food was good overall, though it left a little to be desired at times. My favorite part was the live cooking station, especially the omelets, noodles, and pasta dishes.
Guide: The most important part: the safari guide. I had John Walter, also known as “John of the Jungle,” and I would 1000% recommend requesting him if possible. He was charming, funny, knowledgeable, and extremely kind.
During our first afternoon game drive, we saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, and multiple female lions-all within the first three hours. On our second day, he asked what we most wanted to see and managed to help us find nearly all of it. He made a real effort to introduce us to new animals rather than repeatedly stopping at species we had already seen.
John was truly a 5/5 guide, and I feel very fortunate to have had him for this experience.
