Super WOW Safari Experience
An excellent experience: three days immersed in nature with an excellent guide, who carefully observed the animals' every move and provided us with a wealth of information about the different species and their habits. We slept under the stars in a tent among the animals, and when we woke up, we found an elephant in our campsite.
The food service was also excellent; the chef was attentive to the needs of the entire group, and the food was fresh and delicious every day.

Serious Booking Issues and Unresolved Refund ā Highly Disappointing
I would like to share my experience as a serious warning to anyone considering booking with this company. I booked a safari package with them and paid a deposit in good faith. However, from the moment I requested confirmation of my hotel booking, the situation became extremely concerning.
When I insisted on receiving an official confirmation, they sent me a document claiming the hotel was booked and paid for. To verify, I contacted the hotel directly ā and they confirmed that no reservation had been made under my name.
This situation was especially distressing and unacceptable because I was traveling with my wife and our four children. Being misled and having no confirmed arrangements while responsible for a family made the situation extremely stressful and potentially dangerous.
When I approached the company about this issue, they ignored several of my messages. I even went to their office in person before the trip, and they claimed the staff member responsible for my booking had resigned and that they would āget back to me.ā They never did.
Because of their failure to provide what I paid for, I had to make new arrangements and book my trip through another company. Afterwards, they told me I would receive a refund ā but despite many emails and follow-ups, they kept delaying and never refunded my money. Eventually, they stopped responding altogether.
My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and stressful, especially while traveling with children.
Please be careful and think twice before booking with them.

Although I usually enjoy planning holidays myself, this was my first venture into Africa and I did some research on partnering with a local tour operator. Pembury Tours caught my eye with many fabulous 5* reviews and I made contact about 12 months before our trip.
Melanie responded quickly with plenty of ideas, taking on board things we knew we wanted in the itinerary, along with suggestions of things we hadnāt considered. Once we had confirmed our booking, Melanie was in regular communication to tweak and confirm aspects of bookings, so when the time of our trip came we had nothing less than 100% confidence that arrangements would be smooth.
And they were. From the initial meet and greet, accommodations and activities, all were put together with the expertise we had seen on other reviews, and Melanie included her number so we could message via WhatsApp if needed. In fact it was, as the weather in Cape Town didnāt play ball, and we had to swap some activities around - Melanie was still working late evening to rearrange things on one occasion.
We had 3 nights at Arathusa Safari Lodge in Sabi Sands which was a fabulous choice. We had seen the Big 5 within 2 safaris, and continued to see more sightings through the stay, as well as the resident hippos and elephants.
Our holiday was perfect, and much of that was down to the skill and judgement of Pembury Tours, and we would recommend them to anyone considering a similar tour.

Best Safari ever!!!
What an amazing trip! It was the third safari for me after Etosha and Kruger National Park BUT the first time I saw all of the big 5 within one day. Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha were truly amazing. The landscape is beautiful and 100% worth a visit. All in all the trip and transport were perfectly organized and matched all of our expectations. Aaand: Big big thank you to Caleb, who was not only a kind soul, he was also a really great guide to have. I would even say, the best guide Iāve ever had! I can only recommend Caleb and Lenchada Tours. My brother and I had an unforgettable time.
