Highly recommended from start to finish
We had a fantastic safari with Imara. Right from the start the team was easy and straight-forward to deal with.
Our guide/driver was excellent (thanks so much Tony!), managed to find every animal on our wishlist, and made sure we enjoyed the whole trip.
We were a group of 3 and did a private safari. This gave us a lot more flexibility about where to go, which animals to search for etc, and our guide (Tony) was always adjusting the plan make sure we had the best experience.
Covering our 'spotting wishlist' was fantastic, but Tony was always working to ensure we got better views and up-close experience with our favourites. That made all the difference to how much we enjoyed the safari.
I'd definitely recommend Imara, and we would happily book our next safari through them.

We were from Japan.
Our 2-night, 3-day route took us to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.
It was my first time camping in a tent in Africa!
We were able to see all five of the Big Five thanks to our driver!
We even saw a lion eating a zebra!
Wild cheetahs! So cool!
What excited me the most was the warthog, one of the Ugly Five! ! ! So cute 🩷
Zebras ran right next to our tent, and we could clearly hear them eating grass. Hyenas were walking around at night. The distance was incredible! ! ! !
Our guide/driver said, "No fences, no security!" and that was so true!
We had a cook with us, so lunch in the savanna was an unforgettable experience.
Charging our cell phones and cameras was easy in the safari car, which was reassuring.
You can also charge them at the lodge, but it's difficult because there are other tour groups there.
The toilets were cleaner than I expected!
The bath apparently has hot water, but it's cold because other tour groups have used it all up.
Try it if you're feeling brave! Lol

Jumbe was the best safari guide imaginable. He was always committed to getting us the best shots possible. He is also a very nice and friendly person and knew a lot about the different animals, aswell as the different parks and lakes we went to.
Very reliable and always on time. Saw the big 5 aswell as the ugly 5.

Jumbe is a kind, humours and experienced tour guide.
The safari was wonderful! We were able to see the big five and the ugly five. Jumbe (our tour guide) was able to tell us the name of every animal and give us insides of how they live and hunt.
It was a great experience and if I come back I will definitely book an other safari on axis (and hopefully have Jumbe as our guide).

An unforgettable safari with an exceptional guide
Our safari with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris was absolutely extraordinary, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Jumbe.
From the beginning, everything was very well organised and we always felt that we were in good hands. Jumbe was extremely friendly, helpful, attentive and caring throughout the entire trip. He is also an excellent and very safe driver, which is particularly important when spending long days on safari and travelling between parks.
What impressed us most was his incredible ability to find wildlife. He clearly knows the parks, the animals and their behaviour extremely well. Thanks to him, we had some truly unforgettable sightings. We managed to see the Big Five as well as the Ugly Five. In just four days, we saw an incredible 22 lions, including two beautiful cubs, two leopards and even black rhinos.
Jumbe always made an extra effort to give us the best possible experience, while never making us feel rushed. He was patient, knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic every time we spotted something special.
The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The service, reliability, organisation and value for money were excellent, but having Jumbe as our guide made the safari particularly memorable.
I would highly recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris, and if you have the opportunity to have Jumbe as your guide, you will be very lucky. An amazing experience that we will never forget.

Unforgettable 5-Day Safari with Amiri & Robert
A truly excellent 5-day safari through diverse national parks – from Tarangire to Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. We saw everything, more than we could have wished for.
Our guides were outstanding: Amiri for the first four days, Robert on the fifth – both highly experienced and knowledgeable. We felt safe at all times. Thanks to their great explanations, we were able to understand the animals’ behavior, and we always had the best viewpoints for observation. We were especially impressed by the great respect both guides showed for the animals and their habitats.

Un forgettable experience
It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a truly memorable safari. The safari was very budget-friendly and offered excellent value for money.
When we planned our safari, we did not have any contacts in Kenya. We asked our friends for recommendations and received contacts of several safari operators. Our trip to the Serengeti and the surrounding landscape was nothing short of incredible and spectacular! It is definitely one of the best trips I’ve ever went on in my life and was absolutely worth it. The chance to see so many charismatic species of wildlife roaming freely throughout the East African savannah is memories that I will treasure forever. Emmanuel, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the various species that call this ecosystem home and we knew we were in good hands no matter what situation we were in. Plus, he has shown to be a fun and great person to be around who we would definitely have as our guide again. Service, whether it included housing, eating, and more was top notch and we definitely felt comfortable through the entire trip.
