Fabulous holiday, amazing experiences for all the family, touring the Rainbow Nation
5/5

The 18 day safari through South Africa & Swaziland with our guide Bongi was absolutely amazing, a first long haul holiday for my 2 teenagers and we couldn't have picked a better company to go with. From collection at the airport to our final farewell, everything was done to ensure everyone in our group (6 persons) was happy, comfortable and having amazing experiences throughout this tour. If you want a more personalised, small group tour with lovely, varied accommodation, pick Southern Tour and Safaris, I can highly recommend this company, especially if your lucky enough to get Bongi to show you his fabulous country. There were so may amazing places, its hard to pick favourites, but visiting a home and primary school in Zululand (armed with pens, pencils and sports toys) was a brilliant day. Awe inspiring views at Blyde River canyon, getting close to nature around the camp at Mlilwane, rest and relaxation at the beautiful beach in Cintsa, were just some of the great times. We stayed an extra night to tour Robben Island and I would definitely recommend this tour, not to be missed. After months of research about holidays to SA, all sounding amazing, I'm really pleased I chose a small group tour, where you could opt to do different activities such as Bungy jumping ( not me, but my very brave daughter), Elephant Park and wine tasting, to add that personalised touch. Already saving for another trip in a couple of years, hopefully to Botswana and Namibia, and will definitely go with Bongi.

Custom 5 day Kenyan safari for honeymoon was unbelievable!
5/5

Noah was our point of contact for setting up the trip and he was very helpful in putting together a custom 5 day safari that worked with our other travel plans and maximized time spent in the areas we were most interested in (Amboseli, Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru) and included the sunrise hot air balloon ride - a must do!

Our driver Dennis was great and found all of the Big 5 including 2 black rhinos and 2 leopards which are the hardest to find. Dennis took very good care of my wife and I, was flexible with game drives and provided a lot of interesting facts about Kenya, the animals, the Maasai tribes and even helped us learn a little Swahili!

I would highly recommend Wildebeest Safari's and will use them again the next time I go on safari in Africa.

Lake Nakuru is more jungle then anything else. You can see rhinos, but less lions etc.

Murchison National Park is my favourite national park in Uganda. I have been there at least five time in the last 10 years. There are many hotels in the area. We like to stay at the one inside the park across the river. The boat ride to the falls is a unique feature of this park. As you go up the river Nile gently chugging along in a private boat or a public one you can see a lot of wild life on your right. From Elephants coming up for a drink to Nile crocodiles and hippos spread out in the swamp and the waters. You can see a wide range of animals indigenous to this park. Occasionally you will come across a crocodile sunning itself quite close to you with a gaping mouth. Multitudes of Hippos frolicking around you, ducking into the water as your boat draws close. Little ones staying close to their mothers. Bush bucks, antelopes warthogs can be seen foraging in the bushes. Uganda is one of the richest bird watching destinations of Africa with over a thousand species recorded and also home to the rare Shoe bill stork.
Along the river you will see various water birds as well land. The ranger accompanying you will help identify many species as you make your way towards the falls. As you reach closer you are rewarded by the sight of a gushing fall and you can stop to take photos.
When you return to your hotel you can enjoy a peaceful sunset and sometimes you can hear the elephants and Hippos close by. The early morning game drives are breathtaking, beautiful sunrise Lions with their kill, Giraffes, many species of antelopes and many other animals can be seen. The knowledgeable ranger will guide you to the right places.
The weather is perfect, and the Ugandan staff are very polite and friendly. Murchison falls National park is not to be missed.
