A Very special Small Reserve with scarce Mountain Zebra's, in a fitting Mountainous Habitat!

This used to be a very small Reserve , which a lot of Tourists passed by , to go to better known Reserves, but since lots of expansion took place , became a really good destination , not just a stop over for a night , but at least for two or three nights.
The chalets are placed so that you have a view of the valley with browsing animals, nearby, Eland came close to our porch , while I was making the " braai" barbecue fire .
Camp sites are well kept , and with well tended Ablutions .
Weather is always good in April , and you could enjoy the magic scenery , of Far away Mountains , Grasslands and animals , on the High lying plateau.
The road network is well kept , even for saloon cars, and photography can easily be done from the window, as getting out of the vehicle , is not allowed , except in demarcated stopping areas .
Recently Research has begun on Cheetah's , and a walk with a guide with radio collar marked Cheetah , is a special opportunity.
Lions and Cape Buffalo has also been introduced , and although not a Big 5 Reserve, it has special treats otherwise.
Birding was very good , from Raptors, to Ground Birds, " Korhaans" Bustards , and Larks and Pipits.
In the camps a mixture of Bush Birds can be found, Wheatears, Flycatchers , Starlings and Robins. They are all habituated to movements , so are easily approachable and Photographable.
We did not need a guide , but the Reception helped with all the directions we needed.
And the Shop had the ample supplies we wanted to buy.
All in all , a very Good Restful Reserve to Shake off the Rush of modern Living!

Unforgetable safari experience with eyes on africa adventure safaris!
5/5

On our trip to kenya, all we needed to do was to buy a plane ticket...All other planning, accomodations, transport etc. was organised by eyesonafrica andnthey did a great job. Our safari driver Musa was former truck driver with many miles behind him and he has a good eye for game spotting. All of the crew made a great job and i would recomend eyesonafrica to everyone! Greetings from Switzerland!

Pleasant experience - recommend
5/5

We had the pleasure of traveling with a delightful company called African Sermon Safaris. From the minute we contacted this safari company until our tour itself, everything moved like clockwork. The excursion was seamless with the expert guide being very helpful, humorous, informative and willing to tweak the itinerary to suit our plans to maximize each day’s experience. I would recommended them as I adored their ease of planning Kenyan trips and showed genuine concerns throughout the trip.

Easy planning and the most magical adventure ever!
5/5

We have used the tour company Eyes on Africa (EoA) twice now and most lately in February of 2017. Planning the trip was one of the easiest adventures ever! The EoA group is professional, fast, responsive and they never hesitated to accommodate down to every single last detail (I had some dietary conditions). It was an incredibly easy travel package from meeting our guides at the pick-up point, to arriving in the camp, to the adventures that followed.

The trip itself was a magical combination of wonderful 'boutique camping' great beds and pillows in a tent with hot water from outdoor showers all in a natural setting. My boys were ecstatic running around like little goats and exclaimed: "Mama this is more fun than snow!" The food was home-cooked and delicious. The coffee on the escarpment and then returning there for a sundowner was heaven. We went on walks with the local Massai and learned about native medicines, we met local families, we bathed in hot springs, we saw cattle herding and really had a dive into local culture that was not touristy! We also did open safari walks which were fabulous--unequal to any other in Africa. EoA also generously scheduled stays at other safari camps ensuring us the fullest possible holiday experience.

We ended the fabulous visit (where we saw over 15 types of game that will delight the soul and embed memories forever in your children's minds) with a flight to Diane where we stayed on one of the most pristine and beautiful beaches ever!

Went up the mountain with a guide, Came down with a best friend
5/5

Going to Africa, you never know what you're going to expect. Worries rattle your mind. "What about this or that?" Rest assured that Pace Maker Adventures was there to make the entire experience unforgettable.
Andrew was the utmost when it came to being a host/guide/expedition company. From the beginning to the end, he was there to hold our hands through every single process. Able to answer any questions with haste, and make your safari/hike with every penny. He was the reason I enjoyed Tanzania. I conquered Kilimanjaro and explored the Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti all within my time in Africa. A truly amazing, unforgettable experience that words can't express but if you were to take a look at my photos you can tell it was timeless.
