PURE MAGIC--EJ IS THE BEST!
5/5

Our trip to Tanzania and Kenya was nothing less than magical. Kim listened closely to our desires (great guides, small tented camps and The Great Migration) and tailored an itinerary for us. We saw The Great Migration (and three river crossings) due to her excellent planning. (Of course, Kim is honest and will tell you that a traveler cannot be guarantied a river crossing–that is just plain luck.) The camps were welcoming and unique (some were rustic and some were luxurious, just as we requested). The camp guides were incredibly knowledgeable. I found working with Kim to be a joy–she is responsive, well informed and fun. She has a true love of Africa, having visited nearly every country. The pre-trip documents were thorough and informative; we were totally prepared. When selecting a safari company, I had not realized that a critical component is the local partners (camps, guides, drivers, etc.). If the local partners are not great, your trip will be disappointing. EJ uses only the best–everyone on the ground was punctual, well equipped, friendly, informative, professional and helpful. I would give EJ more than 5 stars if that was possible. Perhaps, the best recommendation is that I am already working with EJ to plan our next trip.

Excellent service with Ugandan style
5/5

We used Mumwe Safaris / Uganda Car Rental Services for six days during September. We travelled through northern Uganda including the Murchison Falls Nation Park and Ziwa Rhino Reserve on a program we had designed.

Our driver Dan was friendly and knowledgeable about Uganda and a great guide and company on safari. He made us feel comfortable and addressed our queries and hick-ups to our program.

The Prado car was well prepared and proved a very cost-effective way to visit areas not on the normal tourist routes.

We would highly recommend the driver Dan and Mumwe Safaris / UCRS.

AWESOME HONEYMOON!
5/5

I am so happy we decided to have Extraordinary Journeys help us plan our honeymoon. We were traveling to South Africa and Zimbabwe and I was pretty thorough in what we were looking out of the trip and after a call with Emily, I knew she would put together the perfect package for us. I like to think I am pretty travel savvy and often do all of our bookings myself, but it was so helpful having EJ along side me. They were able to book our safari adventures and International travels; places I probably wouldn't have found. The safari lodges we stayed at were amazing, and everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed. From our initial conversation, to a welcome home email; the constant contact we've had with EJ has been great. Anytime I had a question, they were readily available with the answers. You can tell they really care about their clients and want you to have the best adventure and our honeymoon was a once in a lifetime trip. We would (and already have) recommend EJ to anyone looking for the ultimate safari experience; and would definitely book through them again. 100%

9 Day Camping Safari in Tanzania - 4 Adults with Driver/Guide and Cook
5/5

We had read the reviews on Safari Multiways and were impressed so we decided to give them a try. We weren't disappointed. From our first contact with Romeo via email we received prompt and helpful responses to all our questions. His suggestions regarding our safari and assistance with bookings both before and after it helped make our entire stay in Tanzania a great experience.
As for the safari itself, we were lucky enough to have Amos as our driver/guide and he was a pleasure to travel with. His experience and knowledge were excellent. We wanted to spot birds as well as animals and Amos was able to point out and identify many species. Dogoo, our cook, was also amazing, producing meals that satisfied us all, including one gluten free traveler. Amos and Dogoo were very flexible in how they catered to our requirements and definitely added value to what was already a great trip.
Travelling and camping in Tanzania is fairly rough for 55+ year olds and we knew to expect that. The roads are rough and dusty as you get further in to the Serengeti but Amos was able to navigate us around in reasonable comfort. The safari car we had was clean, comfortable and reliable but it is not luxury. Viewing was excellent and Amos found us many lions as well as cheetahs and leopards and numerous other great sightings. He also got us to 2 river crossings of wildebeest and had to assist several other vehicles that had broken down or became bogged. It was reassuring to know he knew what to do as we got bogged in sand one morning. Nothing was too difficult.
Overall we were very impressed with Safari Multiways and the service provided to us. I have no hesitation in recommending them if you are considering travel in Tanzania. One thing that we were not aware of was how flexible they can be with your itinerary. If you have your own plans or ideas then let Romeo know and he will work with you to make your dream safari a reality.

Great place to see rhinos, quite close and also flamingoes and other birds on the lake
It is a nice ride around the lake, there are also baboons and other monkey species, and usual herbivores

Review about Hell's Gate National Park by Saša Danon

4/5

Hell's gate is a nice park and worth a visit because it is one of the rare NPs where you can walk or ride a bike. Even you can not compare it with Masai Mara or Lake Nakuru NPs regarding the animals' species and quantity, but it is still worth a visit.

Magical
Overall rating
5/5

I was a solo female traveler who was eager to see the wildlife but was also nervous about traveling by myself. I should not have been. The safari was wonderful! Fantastic and knowledgeable guides, incredible scenery and excellent lodge all of which quickly relieved me of any trepidation. The lodge itself was built overlooking a small valley and a vast open-air balcony. It was a beautiful and restive spot for wildlife viewing. The staff were warm yet professional, and the service was excellent. Food was also very good. I went on morning and evening game drives. Our guide grew up just outside of the park, and was informative about both wildlife and Zulu culture. I also went on a bush walk which was the highlight of my trip. Why travel so far and stay in a car when you can walk with the animals and see things you would otherwise miss? For me the only drawback was that I am a birder. The game drives were in jeeps with five to six other people who were not asinterested in stopping to see the birds as was I. As a result, the bird watching was rushed but we did see many animals including four of the big 5.

About: Tanzania
Fantastic experience, incredible value!
Overall rating
5/5

My 24 year old daughter and I booked the 3 day 2 night safari to the Serengeti and Ngorongo Crater a few days before arriving in Tanzania. The company, Suricata safaris, picked us up at Kilimanjaro airport, drove us 45 minutes to a simple clean hotel in Arusha, drove us to meeting point just outside the park where we boarded a Land Rover and spent 3 amazing days traveling through the 2 parks viewing an incredible array of wildlife and unspoiled nature. We saw all the main species except rhinos and most from a very close distance. We camped in tents with mattresses and sleeping bags and meals supplied. The food was basic but plentiful. We went to bed with Cape buffalos grazing a few dozen meters away and woke up to a herd of zebras all around us. Hyenas and monkeys were also about looking for leftovers. Almost all our time was spent on game drives, each us with a window seat and pop up roof for great viewing and photos. After game drive on 3rd day we were driven back to hotel in Arusha for the night then to the airport the next morning. All of this for $800 Canadian dollars each! I highly recommend this trip to anyone who doesn’t mind camping and is willing to forego the luxuries of the fancy and expensive lodge experience. A huge thanks to Hilary and Derek and their professional staff for offering such an incredible and affordable experience!
