Less animals than in earlier years, but still very nice. Always a special place due to the red soil which colors the animals.

Beautiful wildlife, some rare species that can’t be seen in other parks.

Absolutely stunning wildlife but too many visitors/cars. Sometimes it feels wrong that cars disrupt the hunt of the animals or follow them too long and with way too many vehicles so that it gets annoying for the animals. This park should be restricted to a lower visitor number.

Review about Amboseli National Park by Barbara And Doug
Less animals than in earlier years, but still very nice. The view of the Kilimanjaro in the background is amazing. Also the animals in the swamps (hippos, elephants, buffalos) are great to watch.

Review about Aberdare National Park by Barbara And Doug
“Birding” tour in The Ark Lodge in Aberdare consisted of filling a bird feeder with fresh seeds - that was all. Also didn’t like the atmosphere.

Amazing 17 day journey through Kenya’s mayor parks
We have been to Kenya many times and love the beautiful scenery and especially the amazing wildlife.
Our tour operator Anna from “Amazing Memories Safaris” was fantastic during the preparation phase and worked with us to plan and adjust the Safari exactly to our wishes. She also provided us with an amazing guide and driver, Daniel, who has in depth knowledge of all the animals we saw, about Kenya in general, and who was a really great guy to “be stuck with” for 17 days. Daniel went absolutely above and beyond to make this the best possible Safari for us and to accommodate every request we had. When we had a medical issue, Daniel made sure to get us to a very good hospital, stayed with us the entire time to guide us through the process and also called ahead to the next lodge to set up a follow up doctor’s appointment there.
He also is a great photographer and made sure to put us in excellent spots to take great pictures. In addition, and extremely important for a Safari, he was great in spotting animals.
The car was in good shape and the lodges beautiful. Everything was handled very professionally.
We hope we will be able to go back to Kenya in 2 or 3 years, at which time we will use the same operator and definitely go with Daniel as guide.

6 days safari
We did a 6 days custom camping safari (first timers) with Shemeji and it was as good as expected. All parks are amazing (landscapes and animals including birds) but 6 days was a bit too long.
All the safari companies seem to follow the same book for the food, tents and sometimes game circuits. So your guide/driver and car will be the main difference. Our driver/guide was very experienced, knowledgeable, nice and profesional. The car was in good condition. The food was delicious and they accommodated vegetarian meals. Our tent/bed was probably one of the best around. Campsites were ok considering the amount of people.
We chose to spend more time en the Serengeti (4d) and 2 in Tarangire and Ngrongoro as we needed the time to reach northern Serengeti (which ended up being my favorite) . In retrospective just pick one of the itineraries from their website.
Ngorongoro is a great day safari if you want too see almost al animals including lions. In mid October was raining and the visibility was so so.
Tarangire is gorgeous I loved the trees. If you don’t care too much about cats go there ( we saw a cheetah though)
Serengeti is worth all the dust you will get to reach to it...but if I you can afford it... Just fly to central and go from there. We did see the migration but no river crossing. The Mara section is gorgeous.
